I have the Drive Brights also, so when the car is in normal mode, lights in Auto and it's day time, the turn signals and the Drive Bright DRLs are amber? And when you use turn signals.... they both obviously flash amber? You got pics?
Parking lights only...then DRLs...then lights on. I have a video that I may figure out how to post but basically when turn signal is on both the drive brights and turn signals blink amber. When headlights are on turn signals work normally and drive brights switch back to white after Amber turns...99b1b99ae309e89c7c333cfc7ec44c2cC5e4840396381284860de3815835f66f1f81fe1b4ea77658f110cb58f0b1d54e

OK, you're confusing me! Your pics show how the Daytime Bright DRLs work normally - nothing is different here. This is exactly how mine work out of the box. So what did you modify in FORScan?

The middle picture is the DRL where both are amber. My drive brights were white when they were on before the Forscan mod. In the first pic where they are on by themselves and white is parking lights.

Well I copied someone else so go for it! :) Yes I like that it's different. Not too many cars have amber lights for the DRLs these days.

Any issues with front turn signals burning out being on High voltage all the time?

The following is to turn on the DRL feature (I have a 2013 PP). I have it set to 3 which uses the front turn signal amber bulbs...but I also have the drive bright lights in place of the normal lower "fog/running" lights and they are hooked up to the turn signals. The end effect is that both the Turns and lower running lights are Amber when the DRL's are active. The DriveBrights go back to white when the headlights are on. You find the following address in Forscan on the BCM and change the capital X to either 0,1,2,or 3 depending on the effect you are going for...

DRL BCM 726-11-01 xXxx xxxx xx 0=disabled 1=headlight at reduced output 2=fog lights 3=front turn signal only top bulb on each side

So I just got done doing this and it didn't work. I checked 3 times and the setting is at 3 just like you have. What would cause this? I have the DRLs hooked up to the headlights so they dim when headlights turn on, I also have the Welcome Home feature enabled. Do you have the last 2 options on yours like mine?

Hmm. Strange. I do not have the drive brights dim when the headlights are on. What is the Welcome Home feature?? So no I don't have that enabled. You do have the drive brights wired in to your turn signals though right? Also do your regular turns go in to DRL mode?

And finally how are you checking to see if your DRLs are on? You have to have the car in D (drive) so you either need to set the parking brake or someone else will need to be in the car. If you don't do that the parking lights will be on and you won't see the DRLs.

Because when you aren't in drive the parking lights are only active and the car won't enable the DRLs. Don't really know other then that is the way they designed it! 3 beers? I might drive a long way for that LOL... Glad it's working!

Welcome Home is the DRLs light up when unlock the car and when you turn off the car they stay on for 30 seconds.

Love that someone started this thread!! I just downloaded the free FORScan software on my laptop and purchased the ELM327 USB module to connect to my car. There's a bunch of cool things you can do as already shared in this thread but there's others also like directing the door chime and car startup beeps through the radio speakers - guess it sounds more luxury doing this.
You can change the tail light configuration on the Fusion, but not sure about Taurus but I'm sure going to try it out! I'm not a huge fan of the Taurus rectangle light pattern.
The Taurus has a Global Windows Remote Open, but for some dang odd reason it doesn't give you the "Close," feature but it appears you can program the Close feature also!
Dark Car Mode
Door Ajar Chime
Navigation on the go
Reverse mirror tilt
Heated Steering Wheel Temp
Automatic Turn Signal Count, etc...

Can't wait to get my module and start programming! I did a lot of this on my 2010 Audi S4 with the ***-COM programming mods - it's very addicting!

I too just bought the ELM327 USB module and downloaded forscan have you tried programing anything? Im gonna give it a go next week if you can tell me how you do thanks....

It's real easy, only difficult part is loading the Extended License that you need to access some of the modules. But make YouTube your friend and watch some FORScan programming videos.

I did the extended license on forscan that was easy. All the video on you tube are for the Fusion not Taurus will those codes work for 2015 Sho? This Thread has a few mods but not tpms, blinker etc. Do you know if there is a list of Mods for my car that would work? I been looking but couldn't find a list...

Hey man, so guess what? I changed DRL back to original. The Drive Bright DRL are built so the white LED faces forward and amber LED angle to the side. So using the Amber as DRL they look real dim from the front. But I love the idea!! Just wish it looked better. But thanks again for all your help!
