I was able to get the AWD guage to work but Navigation is being difficult.
I changed 720-01-01 and 7D0-01-02 but it still just has the big compass and says "information".
I pulled the 3.8 update off google drive linked from some forum and installed it successfully. Then I applied the PNG file. That dis not work.

I then installed the extra NAV patch from the XDA developer thread without luck. and even did a master reset.

Any ideas?

Cluster has to see this info from the APIM and a valid s.d. card inserted. I don't do mods, just what I have epirienced on factory systems.

I've added Nav to 4 or 5 cars now.

It's always the same.
1. FORScan mod to APIM.
2. Update to 3.8 or 3.10
3. NaviPatch PNG - Do not change your wallpaper. Just load the preview and click the UNLOCK button.
4. Install 'optional' nav files 'AF' for 3.08 or 'AG' for 3.10
5. Insert SD card.

1) Is it possible that the 3.08 version I used for the upgrade "disabled" my ability to enable Navigation? I vaguely recall one of the forums mention that there were updates that crippled that.
2) Is there a reliable place to get the files. At this point, i don't even recall where i got the Nav patch files.

I finally got it to work. Full process:

1)Updated to 3.8
2)Used Forscan to enable navigation, AWD gauge, and some other items
3)Installed Navipatch.PNG
4) I did NOT see "insert card" or the new i button at the bottom of the display.
5) Patched with N"optional" nav files - Used AD (incorrect?)
6) Inserted Nav card and it did not work.

7)Read COMpulse's post and dug up AF files and installed the AF files.
8) Still nothing
9) Opened Forscan and disabled Navigation - restarted car after sync restarted
10) Re-enabled Navigation with Forscan
11) Works!

Is this to get navigation on the small screen on the dash? Any reason you would want that?

To my knowledge this only works for the 8 inch screen, but I am not certain.

Edit: I may have misunderstood.
The basic mod to the APIM is to enable Nav on the head-unit touch-screen.
There is also a mod to the IPC to change the Compass to Navigation on the Instrument Cluster.

Played with this for a minute. Changed it to B and was greeted with the AWD gauge , but my US Speed limit sign changed to the Euro circle with the red ring around it. Play with adding and subtracting 3 to the original 8. Here is what i found:

720-01-02 B*** - **** - **** AWD Gauge Present Left Screen / Speed limit in Euro on Right Nav Screen
720-01-02 8*** - **** - **** No AWD Present left Screen / Speed limit in US on Right Nav Screen
720-01-02 5*** - **** - **** No AWD Present left Screen / Speed limit in Euro on Right Nav Screen
720-01-02 2*** - **** - **** AWD Gauge Present Left Screen / Speed limit in US on Right Nav Screen

The middle picture is the DRL where both are amber. My drive brights were white when they were on before the Forscan mod. In the first pic where they are on by themselves and white is parking lights.

Did the same thing with the amber. When you're in drive and put the turn signal on does it switch the Drl from amber to white? Mine does and I don't think it's supposed to but I have other issues and a new controller on the way.

I installed leds in the front turn signals, they do not hyper flash when the lights are off, however, when headlights or parking lights are on they will hyper flash. I read somewhere that forscan can eliminate this without the need for resistors, does anyone know how to do this on a ‘14 non pp? I’m completely new at forscan and have only found vids for fusions or other cars not the SHO. Thank for the help!

Have not looked into this but some searching shows BCM line 726-27-01 should control this function. The files I have do not correspond to my as -built so I could not comment on what to change. Possibly positions 2 and/or 4 based on the F150s.

This worked on my 2015 SHO.
