We picked up our 2013 SHO, approaching 500 miles. Thinking of changing at 1000 miles and mobile 1 or Royal Purple. Comments on miles first change ?

Thanks

Willie

For those who change there own oil.. I bought my ramps, ran the car up, and crawled under it to find this massive under tray. I was about to loosen it for removal when I thought, how heavy is this thing, and can I get it back in place, on my back, six inches from the bottom of the car. I did a search, but did not see information on this.

Any advice on removing and replacing this thing will be appreciated. The Mustang just had two screws and was hinged, so it dropped down.

Thanks in advance...

The one on my 2010 was not heavy and pretty easy to work with. The whole thing just drops completely off the car. I haven't changed oil on my 2013 yet, but I'm guessing it is pretty much the same thing.

It's easy to remove /install and doesn't weigh much.
There is a "U" shaped hook in the front middle that the tray slides into, and the 4 turn screws are quick fasteners.
Slide it into the hook, attach the back then the front and you're done.

Thanks to all who answered. I will be working on it tomorrow, if the weather holds. We are in the middle of a big wind storm right now. Winter is never ending this year.
