Good afternoon!

Running an amp wire today and need advice from someone who has run a wire through the firewall. The only thing I have found so far that might work is the hood release cable that might allow access.

Looks like about .400" diameter needed.

BTW - Anyone that needed an answer to where the separate subwoofer amp went on the 2011, I confirmed through Ford it has now been incorporated in the main DSP/AMP module.

Thanks in advance!

good luck...

the only empty space I could find easily was right around the brake push rod, but you still gotta go around the master cylinder so it aint easy...

i ended up going through the door jamb, then up through the fender and into the engine compartment... equally not as fun.

I installed a Passport 9500ci and ran the three wires through the wiring harness boot. There is a ton of open space around it. From under the hood, it is located near the driver's windshield wiper pivot.

:)Thanks guys!

Yep, found the wiring boot under the cowl cover on the drivers side and went through it. Once I pulled the SJC (Smart Junction Box) out from under the dash, it was right there.

The (2) 6x9's on the rear deck are not very good for bass, so I added a little more. Everything mounts to a 1/2" board I carpeted and can be removed in 30 seconds to get to the spare area. This is not really my daily driver so trunk space is not that important to me. Even if I need all the space, I made it to where you can remove the amp and two tubes and still have the complete Sony sytem in tact.
