Here's the hotel info in San Antonio. Hampton Inn Suites 11010 IH 10 West @ Huebner Rd. SA, TX 78230 1-210-561-9058

The rooms are normally $94. dollars a night we are getting them for $72. with tax that is a total of $84. a night. I also checked with the Hampton Inn in Kerrville and their rates are actually higher than the hotel in SA.

To get this rate though you have to reserve your room by the 22nd of this month.

The hotel in the Northwest part of SA about 10 to 15 minutes from Highway 16 going to Bandera, and is in a restaurant and club corridor so we may do the river walk then head back to the hotel part of town for our clubing (for those that wish to do that).

I spoke to Damien (prplsho) this afternoon and he said he couldn't make the run cause of work, but his work place Rio Cibolo Ranch is having a Wine Festival that same day and we are welcome to come over there after we get back from the run.

:D thumb I miss my jumping laughing smilely face.

lol... damn a SHO run in my home town and me without a SHO! Oh well mark me down for the after party. I live like 5 minutes from Hwy 16 and my work is right across the road from that hotel so I'll be on the look out for many SHO's!

Maybe I'll take my Sable if it's running alright!

Yes, I'm sad to say I can't join you all for the run but I'll be at the ranch all day and we are hosting a wine and herb festival to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis foundation.

Tickets are $15.00 ( donation ) and includes a wine glass, 5 wine samples a shirt and I think a couple of tickets....I'm going to post the itenerary......

I'm also going to contact SVTOA S. TX and see if I can get any of those folks to come down and who knows? We might have us a full blown car show! In fact, if I knew just how many people were going to come I can set some space off just for you guys in one of the other areas.

The festival ends at 8pm but wine, beer, margaritas, food, live bands, etc will be there. And for those froggy enough, San Antonio Raceway is 5 minutes away. thumb

oops....

Forgot directions....

Take IH10 West to Loop 1604 South ( East )

Turn east ( under the bridge ) onto IH 10 East towards Houston/Seguin.

Exit Trainer Hale Rd, about 10 minutes from loop 1604 exit. This is a small chicane like exit ramp, continue on to the first right after the Exxon. Turn right onto Trainer Hale Rd.

Turn LEFT onto Bexar Bowling Rd, look for the Ranch's sign on the right. Continue on this road past Zuehl airport ( small grassy field to your left ) and turn right onto Ulrich road, again there will be a sign.

Follow this street around until you see the main gate, follow the road from there.

for more info or perhaps better directions go to the ranch's website,

You don't have to go to Chicago to put a 1,000 miles on it. Road trip to Albuquerque. The speed limit in NM is 75 on the freeways over there. I made it from Arlington to there the last time I went in like 8 hours, just set the cruise on 100.

lol :p

BTW, if you haven't made reservations yet, or maybe even if you have...

I just made reservations for the 17th and 18th for $55 a night at the Hampton. It was a "Hit the Road" special on the website. Y'all might check it out since it beats the group rate they gave us by 20+ bucks. King bed, no smoking.
