Three of the four sensors are showing codes that indicate they may be bad. If this is so, what kind of sensors should I get? I have seen Borg and Bosch on ebay for ~$30-60 each. Are these okay, or should I be looking elsewhere? Oh, the check engine light comes one often and sometimes one of the cylinders seems to miss on occasion.

The car is a 94 ATX with 140K mi. on it.

Is it possible to have four oxygen sensors on my 94 ATX? Or does it have two? I saw RCM o2 sensors on ebay: $50. Are these descent enough? Are the o2 sensors specific to 3.0's or 3.2's?

I just bought 2 O2 sensors for my 92 SHO at CarQuest for 37$ a piece, new Bosch units.

I just bought mine from autozone for 42 a peice. Bosch also.

You got a better deal.

My car shows that theyre bad also, and sometimes my car will start to stall, or the rpms will just kinda bounce around. And the only sensors left to replace that are bad are the o2's. Hopefully this will do the trick.

The Bosch O2 sensors are a good replacement item. There are only two on any pre-96 SHO (if any).

Once the sensors are replaced, the apparent misfire needs to be addressed immediately. If the misfire (plugs or wires, for example) continues, the cats are likely to be ruined due to raw fuel being dumpd into the exhaust. It will also be likely that you will still be getting screwy readins from the O2 sensors.

Personally, I'd address the misfire FIRST. It might make the O2 symptoms go away.

The misfire is the first priority. You must correct that situation before the O2 sensor readings have merit. And rather than saying the codes "indicate they may be bad," please give the specific code. If both (only two) sensors are reading rich or lean then the codes may be telling you something about the engine control system. Since you are getting a CHECK ENGINE light you must retrieve and follow up on all of the codes.

If you do need O2 sensors, the Bosch 15716 sensors are the choice for the 3.2L, ATX SHO. Your local AutoZone will be one of the better sources.

Go Bosch... I had a really short service life on the Borg Warner sensors I replaced my stock units with.

I replaced all the sparkplugs with Autolight Platinum’s. No more misses. I cleaned the K&N Filter and put two new Bosch O2 sensors (15716) in. $42.99. She runs like a bandit again.

I was uncertain of the codes because this car is my pop's and he is selling it to me. He had our mechanic check the codes. Just going on what he told me. I'll be more specific when relaying codes from the car to the forum. :thumb:

Thanks!
