Showagon, you put a 95 SHO motor in a wagon? I'd like to see that, I'm from Howell too. What exactly is the climate control issue?

Hello McFly...The sho wiring will not plug up to the GL dash components. The eatc is completely different, the clock is different , the instrument cluster is different, GL doesnt have fog light switch etc etc...

I would love to see this wagon you have. Post pics

Is that the silver one I almost bought? Not sure I understand the question but I'm willing to actually help you out. Or you can take a typical SHOFORUM beating and keep asking questions.

This thread is on its way to being locked & deleted if you two keep that crap up.

You may want to use the engine wiring from the 95 you pulled the dash from. The wiring for a 3.0 vs 3.2 is different. If you don't want to swap that in good luck hacking it successfully.

Not sure. Can you give us some more details? Did you leave the car as an ATX or make it an MTX? What year did the motor come from? I am a little confused since your using genII stuff in a genI... I am assuming that everything worked correctly before you changed the dash. Also if you didn't change in the heater box and stuff from the SHO you might have to ditch the climate control unit (if it is a hard button sell it on e-bay!) and use manual controls. There are motors and sensors in the heater/ac box that talk to the climate control units.

I think to make the wiring work properly you will have to use the genII engine harness because of the starter and different wiring plugs. You could try just changing the starter and associated wiring... Sorry this area isn't my strong point.

Sounds like you have a GenI starter and a GenII harness. If so, all you need to make the GenII stuff work is a starter from a GenII. They're smaller than a GenI starter and a GenII starter from an ATX or MTX will work.

Don't change the engine harness to an ATX harness unless that's what you had in there. There are several things (including the dash wiring and computer connector) that are different between an MTX and ATX. Whatever engine harness you use you'll need a computer to match it, (i.e., ATX = ATX). I guess I'd suggest rewiring the dash harness to work with the MTX engine harness or get a dash from an MTX.

You've confused me. It sounds like you had a 91 SHO motor in the 91 wagon and then it blew up. This would mean it was running in the wagon at some point. If this is so I don't see why adding the 95 SHO engine should be causing you this much trouble? Are the wiring harnesses for the 91 SHO and the 95 SHO that much different? Are the 91 SHO starter and the 95 SHO starter different?

Also, pics would be great!
