Apparently you all lead meaningful lives :D Yeah lotsa hit and run type conversations on FB and other social media outlets. I am on FB, and I have a ton of friends that use it pretty heavily, so I am at least able to keep up with them digitally. Other than that ... yeah, no.

Another problem......now my passenger side LED (white, not amber) stays on after I turn off the vehicle. Not every time though. So....something is SNAFU'd. I suspect it's the control box/module.

Hmmmm, given this latest development, I would be inclined to concur. I’m curious to learn the final resolution. I get the impression the owner, Dan Smith, is a 1 man operation. I would call. I received a reply to an email once way after I sent it. I had long since resolved the issue via phone conversation with him. He’s helpful, backs the product, just think phone is more efficient for him.

I just received another controller from Drivebright. Tried it but my amber signals still flicker. He said there was a change made in the controller to resolve it but mine still do it.

Good info....thanks. I'll call them (him) on Monday. Not impressed. Clearly they released a product without thoroughly testing.

The more I think about it, the more I realize I may have tapped into the wrong circuit. I used the suggested #92 slot as per instructions (or did I?)....I'll have to check. If i switch off my vehicle, there should be no power to the light, even of it's just the one side. In my case, the light was still on 3 hours after I turned the vehicle off.

For what it’s worth here’s a couple pics of mine. Once I tightened up the crimp connector on the turn indicator wires it’s been flawless, knock on wood, for 18 months. I didn’t like the idea of blocking access to the fuse box by putting the controller on top of it. And it doesn’t mount squarely on top of the shock tower. So I took double sided tape and mounted it in the crevice on the side of the shock tower.

Just an update. So the issue remains after using the circuit provided by JRV above. However, the light that stays on is the amber passenger side (not white as I stated earlier). Further, it is at a very dim level, not the full bright as when you are using the turn signal. To make it go out, I have to remove the fuse provided by Brightlights from the inline pos terminal wire attached at the battery, and then re insert it. Then the light stays out. So now i suspect that the box/relay that came with the kit, is allowing a trace amount of power through?? I dunno. I need to sit down and think about it .

I would definitely be on the phone to Dan this morning. And I have no doubt you will be.

Totally grabbing at straws here. But trying to think of things that may be different. I didn’t hook up the white dimming wire. I wrapped it up and zip tied it. But before I tucked it away I took electrical tape and a wire nut and capped off the exposed end so it couldn’t make contact with anything else near by. I have no idea if it grounding could have caused an issue but I just wanted to be sure it was out of play. If you connected it that wouldn’t apply.

Thanks pal. I didn't connect the dimmer wire. I'll definitely be calling Dan this morn. I'll report back what I find out. Thanks for the help!

And now this...drive in to work this morning and expected to see the same issue when I look back to admire my car....nope. All good. I still haven't had time to call Dan. Getting weirder all the time. I have no illusion that the issue corrected itself, but it is interesting.

I called him again on Tuesday & he answered. He asked me to send a pic of the label on the rear of the controller so he could confirm it was the revised one. Sent pic on Tues. but have not gotten a reply.

Ok TL. Let us know what happens.

In the meantime, my lights continue to work flawlessly. I have no idea why and what caused the initial problems that have now miraculously disappeared. I still have the flickering, but I can live with that for now.

I can't tell you what box I had, but on initial install my turn signals hyper flashed like a construction vehicle. Called Dan with the info and I had a new control unit at my house the next day. Almost 2 years later they still work without issue. In my experience he was a pretty solid seller-if it's not right, I'm sure he'll make it right.

(update 8/19)-my second unit had the left ambers go dim and verified to be the controller. Out of warranty I purchased another new kit that I installed today and the new one hyper flashes. I solder all my connections as I hate scotch locks that come with the kit. This is a bitch.

Well after not hearing anything to date about the pic that I sent I called again today. Dan said he did receive the pic but apparently did not send the revised controller. He said he's waiting on some to come in & would send one when they arrived. That will be the 4th one counting the original one that is still installed.

I hope you're right. Continual issues like these, can bring down a small company. Being a "on man show", doesn't help. I'll wait til after Christmas to contact them for a replacement.

Sucks to hear you're having issues! I installed one of his very 1st sets on my car - I ordered the very day they became available 4 years and not one issue. Have you had time to take a breath and just review ever single step in the instructions? Make sure you are absolutely 100% sure the correct fuse location is being utilized? The different slots have different amperages...
