View attachment 7763 I like that! That would probably look great with my tinted headlights.

There's a Group Buy over on Ecoboost SHO Owners on fb for Upper and Lower grilles painted and customized. The Upper is minus the Ford logo and the Lower is minus the 2 ugly plastic panels (it's all 1-piece mesh grille). Please go over there and put your name in. We need more people to commit.

The two plastic panels are there for a good reason I think there are actually lines running there that I think would look ugly otherwise but I would love to see someone with that mod. Also I like the chrome smile it has when there is no front license plate in the way.

There's many SHO's running the lower Billet style grille that doesn't have those panels and you can't see anything. My car has the PP option and you can see both lines through the upper grille so it's not big deal - and I kind of like seeing the lines actually bc anybody who knows anything about cars will know these lines mean something's up and it's not "just a Taurus!" :burnout:

Oh interesting thank you. I do like the stealthyer look. But also a fan of a more aggressive look. So I'm torn but choosing stealthy for now.

I did an old school trick. I took off my bumper and put black window screen over the radiators. I bought the pet proof stuff from a local hardware store. Everything is black. Made a few slits for the exterior temp sensor to poke through and fastener holes to hold the screen in place.

No obvious affects on cooling, but i never watched PID data. I've been running this for 76K.

If memory serves, and I don't know where I read it.... but there's some sort of sensors behind the lower black panels for the lane-keeping, or similar...

I hate to be lame...but, I went to the Ecoboost forum, looked at the Appearance & Detailing thread. I didn’t find the group buy. Could you point me in the right direction?

It's on Facebook. The group is called Ecoboost SHO Owners. You have to submit a request to join this group (not hard to get accepted) Then PM Matt Ariail or reply to the post he shared on Nov 28 at 10:01am. You'll see pics of the grille.

My only concern, is that the amber turn signal flickers when flashing. Not sure I like that or whether it's normal. I don't think the videos I've seen had that issue.

Double check your connections. Mine didn’t work at all initially. I went back and made sure they were as tight as possible and they’ve worked perfectly since.

Ok, that’s the issue. I know I’m an anomaly but, I’m not on Facebook.

Thanks. I don't think that's the issue, but I'll have a look. Everything works as it should, but the flickering is an issue. I'll be calling the company to see of they have a suggestion. I wonder if I replace the factory turn signal bulb to LED, if it'll fix the problem.

I switched mine to LED amber only. I tried to do switch backs but they flickered. You’ll have to disable hyper flash with FORScan.

Not an anomaly. I gave up on Facebook years ago and so have many of my friends and colleagues. I avoid social media now. Forums such as these are my only crutch now.
Glad to know I’m not alone. Same here. I’m on the Taurus car club forum and this one. That’s it. No Twitter, instagram, Snapchat. None of it.

Same here...... no social media crap, other than the few forums I am part of, and then YouTube.

Nothing else, and glad for it. I hear horror stories all the time of all sorts of nonsense revolving around those who are involved in that crap.

There are more of us "anomalies" out there, than I think are properly accounted for.
