Yep, it wont..I think it may have something to do with the driver rear door, it missing the top little wheel thing, its like it broke off.. would this be why the door ajar light is on?

i don't know if that would be the problem, but i can tell ya this: i had the same issue with my '94... the door ajar light was always on... i asked a few people about it, and they all said that it could take a whole lot of effort to track down the issue (i.e. some sort of wiring/grounding problem at one of the 4 door switches, or elsewhere)... so, i figured the easiest thing to do was to just remove the bulb from the cluster in the dash... unfortunately the cluster won't work without a bulb (or something to complete the circuit) installed... luckily i had a burnt out bulb that i popped in, and now the door ajar light doesn't stay on all the time... in fact, it never comes on... but i figure, if a door's open enough to cause concern, i'll likely know about it without a warning light, right?

heh...

Matt, try cleaning the swithces on all four doors. This may help. If you can, test the switches to see which is causing the warning light and replace it. I have the same problem on my 93, I am just too lazy lately, it has been on for so long now that I don't even notice it anylonger.

as far as I know, it is located inside the latch mechanism. the plunger switch is only for the interior door lights.
