$250 is what i charge to do rod bearings minus parts. yeah, parts are less than 100, but you said yourself, 6 hours of labor. that where the price goes up.

i would not recommend taking your SHO to a mechanic with no knowledge of working on a SHO motor.

Dale did mine on my Gen 1 and I run her up to 7k all the time without worry.

i did mine 3 years ago and she has seen 7K every day since then(even a few bounces off the rev limiter) :)

of course, after doing Dons blue92, i raced a 3.1 Lumina back to Murphs shop.

then i put fear in Wilson after telling him i had left over parts and i didnt know where they went. LMAO

i recently purchased a 3.0 mtx about 3wks ago,,,sat for a year and now i hear a knocking sound at idle and when i'm accelerating...i'm new to the sho scene and have been on this forum night and day reading up on my machine, is there anyone in the metro detroit area willing to do this job or any recomendations...thanks in advance
