Clock is dim what is it?

My clock and air temp lights are very dim, seems like they are the only 2 lights that are dim, I have changed the clock from a junk sho and its still the same real dim, what could it be?

Check the voltage getting to the clock with a volt meter on DC current. It could be low, caused by a bad ground or bad connection or wire. It should be 12-14V

the temp light is also low does it get its power from the same wire as the clock?

They could be on the same ground or circuit I would have to look at wiring diagrams. If you want to look at them too there is a sticky in the how to forum that contains all wiring diagrams.

i had that when my battery cables finally took their last turn for the worse.

maybe check/clean the terminals and make sure the wires themselves are in good shape?

my voltage was always upto par but the deteriorated cables didnt allow for enough current to even light the clock properly in the end.

everything else is nice and bright when I turn the lights on at night so I'd assume its a bad wire somewhere

well I have some update I really have been to busy to fix the problem, but today I was messing around in the SHO and I banged 2nd gear and guess what the clock came on nice and bright like it should be. Later on I banged 2nd again and the light went off so I'm assuming somewhere I have a loose wire
