Your fuel injectors could also be clogging. My car just the other day started bogging and I started to worry. I haven't got around to getting them out to clean them but when your car is having problems you can check the internet to also figure things out. I looked for the bogging and found out it could be the fuel system. I just replaced the filter two months ago so its got to be the injectors! Try those out and clean them. It will improve mileage and performance and stop the bogging, but if you haven't taken off the intake lately you will need to buy new intake gaskets which is the same thing I will have to do because it's no guarantee that they will go back on the same with the old gaskets! Hopefully that will fix your problem and fix mines as well.

it may take a couple of days to set the other codes, after they have been reset.

I just bought some seafoam to see if that will remedy the issue also. But taking off the injectors and cleaning them may be an option too. But symptoms with clogged injectors would be shaking of the car, and my idle is good and steady. So that's why I didn't look at the injectors that much but it was in the back of my head because it won't be anything that'll show up in codes either. The same with bad plug wires. You would notice missing in the acceleration if they were bad, which is why I haven't considered those. But then again, a car can throw a curve ball every once in a while.

I did that and you see where it got me? One of the codes came up with a bad maf sensor and not cam sensor and I fixed that and it's still running the same. I'm trying to save money which is why I'm asking you guys for help. I've searched on here and couldn't find anything definate. Idk what's going on...this is the first for me with these cars with this symptoms and I've had 2 other ones. I'm desparately trying to fix this problem because it's really irking me. I'm still spending the unecessary money anyway, whether I want to or not. :fit:

True that I agree but one website did say that depending on how dirty the injectors are will throw a code and the code would say it's something else! Just give it a try, you might be surprised!!! Idk think anyone else can think of what else it could be if you changed everything else! The injectors might be the only other problem if nobody else can think of something other than what you replaced. as far as the MAF sensor goes, mines doesn't work at all and other than my car choking about 2 or 3 times on cold start, it still runs ok but when it bogged while I was on the highway and then doing 20 mph on the street in a school zone injectors would make sense. The gens 1 and 2 have the pintle injectors which are not only a bit harder to clean but they have small nozzles. if they are particles in the injectors they would change the pattern of the spray and cause problems but when they are lightly clogged the bogging won't happen everytime. When they are lightly clogged and the spray pattern changes, it misses going into the combustion chamber and at the time of the explosion there is only air in that part of the combustion chamber and I believe like causes a cylinder to miss and won't fire right at that time and in that miss throws off the other cylinders explosion order or something like that makes it bog. Check out this site also called howstuffworks.com and it should explain it better than I can. So like I said it won't hurt to give it a try and clean them. If its to hard for you to do it yourself or don't have the proper equipment call around for shops that clean them and make sure to check prices before just going to any shop. I hope I helped you out a bit! Good luck bro.

I really appreciate that Cuban. I'm starting to go that route by putting in seafoam in a full tank of gas before I have to take them off and clean them manually. I'm famialiar with howstuffworks website, very good site I must say. I will keep y'all informed on the progress as I go along. Thanks bro! :salute:

No problem bro, let me know how it goes! I'm interested to see how that works and if it does work really good then I might try that! But at the same time I did want to upgrade my injectors anyway too. I might wait til I get the money for the bigger ones and I might not, depends on how things go I guess. Goodluck man. I'll wait to hear from ya!

I doubt your injectors are clogged. A bottle of seafoam doesn't do any harm, but don't pull your fuel system apart to try and clean them. That's a waste of time.

Have you replaced your o2 sensors? The codes were there, and I haven't seen that addressed yet?

You also might want to check below your water pump for any coolant on your crank sensor...you had the code previously. Your problem here might be cured by a simple 60k service.

...also if your injectors were clogged, it would be a problem all the time, not just a blip during acceleration. That points to more of an electronic issue.

16 is complaining about the ignition circuit, but is un-specific
19 is complaining about the cid or cam sensor

your car will not run right until you resolve the 19 code. you may have other issues too (that is all too common) but you need to fix that one. it doesn't matter that it didn't show up a month ago, it shows up consistently now, so it is a real issue.

cam sensor is on the passenger end of the engine, on the rearmost cam. it is the little black round thing that is about 1" thick and 3" around.
