Brake failure...then ABS takes over???

Feel free to flame away, as I have not personally witnessed this. Told the guy I would post his problem, just the same. As described to me..... When slowing to, and nearing a complete stop, there is a bump felt through the pedal, and the brakes momentarily fail completely, followed by the ABS system taking over, and stopping the car.

Debris on the ABS ring. Probably grease from a torn CV boot.

It gets in the grooves and inturrupts the ABS signal, making the computer think that wheel is sliding.
