Do you know where the leak is?

No, i thought i did but it wasnt it. I would have to get under it today. I was told it was at the driver side rear. I didnt see any reason for it to leak there. Finding and fixing the brake leak and working on intake polishing is on my schedule for later today after work.

Still havent found why the brakes leak. May of been a slow leak from sitting for awhile. Ill fill it up and see if i can find it leaking somewhere. Brake lines along the body look really good, just rust at the nut ends on about everything. And i hope bleeding the brakes with the abs isnt as much of a pain as it is with most 90s gm.
If the brakes are leaking anywhere, it will more than likely be the front to rear lines just in front of the drivers rear wheel. That's the only place I've had them rot out and I've had it happen on two different cars.

wow. That's gnarly. Are you seeing fluid on the ground or on parts? If you can see fluid there are visible and uv dyes for just about any automotive fluid out there to help track the source. You may be replacing those lines either way.

Yea i never put any fluid into it so it leaked out long ago sitting. Thats why im going to fill it up to see where its leaking but i was wondering if they made a new...whatever that box is that the lines go into at the rear. I think it goes from hard line to rubber there, id have to look again. Last night is a blur to me lol

Also found that it probably does have a higher pressure clutch. I usually install them on any manuals i have, pedal is harder to engage then it should be but shifts smoothly with little pedal movement. I guess ill find out for sure once i get it on the road soon.

I found strut towers bolted to the motor underneith. Ill get a picture up eventually, my brain still hurts because some abs box on the rear that has lines into it has a bolt spring thing. Im still learning older fords

They were supposed to help limit engine movement. I can't imagine they offer much resistance at this age and mileage.

Yea all the brake fluid i added ran out of that junction box. So it needs that and all the lines behind it and the line that runs across the rear. Fronts dont looks bad.

I dont think its a junction, that black box over the lines. Its a waterfall of brake fluid when i hit the pedal.

You talking about that thing in your #76 post? I think there are brake line unions there and that keeps them in place and out of the way. I think Chad ran his lines recently. He should have insight on this.

Yea those lines are shot block/bias and abs box/block and bias/calipers on rear. Only the fronts aint bad but i might as well replace them all and new calipers and rotors. Do it all while its apart. I thought it looks more complicated than it actually is, shouldnt be bad to replace. Just time comsuming.

If your brake fluid still goes down and you see no puddles, the master cylinder can leak from the rear and run into the power brake diaphragm

I plan on replacing that also with all the lines, calipers, rotors and spring proportion valve thing eventually

Some of those things like the prop valve may not be available new. I never checked aftermarket but I doubt those are available. I only had to replace one and I did it with a used unit.
