They were one of the first shops based in CA. They made a lot of parts back then. I even have a couple of their Y-pipes

Well, not trying to be an a-hole, but the strut tower bars are pretty much useless.... Unless you did what Ford did and tie them to the cowl, to keep everything neutral. Think about what happens on a hard turn, just tying the two strut towers together just magnifies the problem that you're trying to correct.

Vadim and the SHO Shop were the first to produce performance parts for the SHO. He eventually got a bad rap, mostly for business procedures. But, we can thank him for being the main source for serious SHO parts.

Stiffens up the car to keep it from rolling in turns. To keep the car as flat as can be. Didnt try it in sho yet but i did towerbraces and frames braces in my miata and all together it makes it feel solid in a turn. This is a sedan. I get what your saying, maybe it cant be felt in the sho

Is this the “it can rev over 8k rpm” thing? haha
So far everything that i was told about the car is true, that im able to look at now. Not sure on it being a 3.2l or being bored to 3.2l and the intake porting but i guess ill have to drive a stock one to feel the difference

That's the ribbon style chip. Haven't seen one of those in a long time.

What does it do, just rpm limiter? Now that i think of it, i think the original owner said it had the engine work done over 10 years ago but the car has been sitting for 4 years. But it has a 2013 pa inspection sticker and pa is yearly. So it was last inspected in 012 and....man time flies

It's programmable so it can do a few things. Depends on if it was programmed for a bigger MAF or a little extra airflow with little tweeks for bolt ons. Mostly I never got anything meaningful out of one. Those were all done mailing it back and forth unless you went to where some of the very few were offering these. mail order tunes are.. meh tunes without forced induction are generally ..meh

Yeah it was always an annoying feature. I guess you don't forget your keys in the ignition.

Don't forget Ford changed most of their models from carburetor to fuel injection in the mid 80's. These are basically mid to late 80's tech until the 96 OBDII changeover

Temp gauge never got off of below C. It was running for 10 mins or so. Smells alot like coolant but it was full when i checked. And still full. Light on dash said low coolant. Maybe tstat or something is stuck or temp sender isnt working

Just put in a new thermostat. Common problem of sticking open.

When I got the SHO Shop Bolt-on Stage in my 89, the prime reason for the LPM chip was to make the 80MM MAF function correctly. It also eliminated the Rev limiter, and dropped the secondary opening from 3900 to 3600 rpm (a bad idea!).

Ok ill check out the thermostat. I followed the radiator hose into the drivers side of the motor. Im guess the thermostat is in the usual spot. Is there a write up on it here?
