Adam tuned my 1995 MTX 3.2 stock engine with 15lbs of boost. I have been driving the shit out of it for a year with no issues. Other then the belts flying off 3rd gear MIA.

Thanks Adam

I did finally buy the C6 Z06 :) so not much play with SHO.

And i believe my SHO was the first one ever to run wide band through the factory ECU wiring and able to data log without the q-box.

Thanks Adam

Yep, Adam is the best. :)

BTW, when were you logging Wideband through the EVP in the harness? My notes from 10/9/03 when I first did it remind me how non-trivial it is since you have to drill out the plug in the 60-pin connector cover and add a terminated wire to the harness - as the wire is missing from the 60-pin connector in the X2J cars, though it IS there in the early cars - along with +5V at the un-used EVP connector, which is great for a GM MAP ... :)

Just sayin' ;)

Yeap, I use EVP connector with my GM 3-Bar.

As Josh told me , the DataQ is less desirable cause of grounds - can mess up your data.

You might as well use the PLX imfd , instead. 60$ and trouble free. (if you are already hooked up with PLX wideband)

Cost. $25 for 4 channels.

What I am getting at, Is what is it used for?

Is it used for Datalogging without having to use a Laptop?

Is it required...I guess.

I'm buying a wideband pretty soon for my car, I already have an R/T....I'm just trying to make sure I'm not missing anything else.

I had planned on using the Innovate LC-1, because I was under the impression that it has a serial out directly on the controller, allowing me to skip the DataQ box entirely, since I have nothing else but the WBO2 to monitor.

Can anyone confirm or deny this possibility?

The LC-1 can work independently. Output to a AF gage or to the log works program.

Okay, I thought so. BE appears to support it as an input as well, as there is a flag for it in the license and a section in the configuration page. Thanks.

It just puts out a voltage. I ran mine for a long time just connected to a voltmeter.

Right, that's the analog output, right? My goal is to do away with the need for the DataQ (or similar) box, so analog outputs don't help. I need BE to understand the output directly from the LC-1 controller. (And I'm pretty sure it will.)

I know with the SCT software there is a formula you enter that acts on the analog output of the LC-1 and convert it to the actual AF ratio.

((V+.065)*3.008)+7.35

Okay... I didn't understand a single word in this thread. But, I know the car needs a tune badly. I'm going to order a Quarterhorse. And, I know I need a Wideband. I'm looking at the AEM package with digital gauge. What, besides James, will I need?
