I will be purchasing this late winter or early spring for the camaro project. I will have all of the torque converter in about a week for it so fab can truly begin on this pig. ANYWAY. I have the choice of using either a ATX or MTX computer. Which do you prefer to tune on. keep in mind you will be doing the tuning on it

We can tune with either, the atx is truely load based vs. mtx being rpm based

I've heard some complaints from a few people that if your laptop crash's...etc, That you have to pay again for BE support. Is this true?

Somewhat true, yes.

I think Sam is referring to if you laptop dies or is stolen. Not a software crash in BE.

I am in this boat right now . I have had absolutely ZERO problems with the software. But my tuning laptop is now dead after my 1yr old daughter decided to bash the living **** out of it earlier this month. I just need to see what it takes to get my new laptop up and running with the software already purchased . Ill try and give you a call tomorrow after work Adam.

why is it that u have the d4u1 posted for free other places but not a x2j file. i guess making money is makin money
its my thought tho that if u want to further to sport and get more people to let u tune things for them give them the access to the stuff let them realize they are in WAY over thier heads and then sell them your tunes just my .02 cents tho

Its a lot of time and work to make up these calibrations its only fair that someone gets paid to do this work. Its like asking Microsoft for a free copy of windows what do you think they will say?

the definitions that are posted for free on shonut's website have some functions available but popsracing's file has TONS more unlocked and is more useable to get your car running right.

a few years ago there was no way to properly tune the ATX computer until adam came along. I would have paid a lot of money back in 07 to have software to tune my turbo SHO if the would have been available back then. too bad I was about done with the car when it came out I did get to see it in action and it is very cool!
