I've had a bad BDA for a long time now, with the common thumping and full heat issues. In the past week my heat has died all together, all that I can get is cold air. I am assuming the BDA is stuck in a position, is there any way to set the BDA just on the "hot" settings without pulling the dash? The fuses are fine, the heater core seems fine, and my thermostat and coolant levels are also fine. Any ideas?

That use to work for mine, but those days are gone now. I've tried every other variation of settings to see if i could get it to move with not luck. Also I am getting the 02 code, and since I've had the other symptoms I'm pretty sure it is the BDA.

Ive had the exact problem and stumbled across a TEMPORARY fix. I'm not that familiar with the electronics behind this system as I have not studied the wiring diagram. With that in mind this is how i came across moving the blend door to full heat: I had the EATC removed and was checking the wiring harness to the controller for power with a test light. When touching the correct pin on the harness connector (causing it to ground) I heard the actuator move. I continued to do this until it sounded different where I assumed it to be full heat. Sorry I don't remember which pin it was, just try each one on the black connector until you hear it moving. Give it a shot it worked for me but keep in mind that some problems are intermittent and it might not work at the time of testing.
Note: Ignition has to be on to supply actuator with voltage.
