i have a 93' sho atx. trns will not go into overdrive. the rpms drop and acts like in nuetral till i give it gas and drops into 3rd.

It sounds much like the tranny is slipping very bad.
How is the take off?
Does it feel like the car is slow up to 25mph?

Test the torque converter lock-up solenoid. It causes the torque converter to lock-up and act like a fourth gear or overdrive. Check the connection for a good electrical contact first.
If the solenoid (or sometimes referred to as a "servo")is OK, then check the VSS. rangerj
