I am helping my neighbor install his system into his new SHO. We are all done and it sounds good. My problem is that I am using power from the main power distribution box in the engine compartment (right by the firewall in front of the driver). I orginially thought it had a big fat wire feeding but it does not. Do you guys think this will be a problem? Or should I bite the bullet and pull the wire back out and run it directly to the battery? FYI, he is using 2 guage to feed a 1200 watt amp. TIA!

yikes, i'd run it to the battery! thats a fat cable, and that 1200 watt amp is probably pulling a lot of amps...

but i'm not an expert here, just seems like the smartest way in my opinion

Make sure you but a fuse up by the battery. That wire will start a fire if it grounds out
