i know they are 2 different units the pump itself and the module, the problem i am having is the conflicting reports i am seeing on here and elsewhere. now without running the risk of getting responders upset, i mean no disrespect, i wish some one would lay it down and tell me what i need from experience thats all once again thank you
It really doesn't get much clearer than this:

It is G3 SHO specific but not year specific.

The electronics and pump motor/solenoid valves are two parts of the ABS system. You may be able to just replace the electronics. But when I did mine I could not get the large 30 torx bolt out to separate them so had to replace the entire unit.

I'm in the process of doing this very thing right now. It's not a lot of fun but it's doable. The battery trey is a huge pain in the rear end. I still need to take some time and get back out there to work on it and get everything back together.

It's held together by five torx screws. 4 smaller ones on the corners and one large one in the middle.

They are made out of grade 1 steel and twist off with the greatest of easy.

Good luck.

I just did this not too long ago. You shouldn't have any problems. It's not QUITE as bad as everybody says. Just be ready for some busted up knuckles! Any questions, just ask :thumb:

Anyone know what the thread pitch of the hard lines that go into the ABS module is? I think I may have screwed one up putting everything back together. It's not cross threaded yet but it's definitely rounded more than it should be. Thanks!

Edit: Nevermind, precesion file set FTW!
