I was hoping you'd have a good come-back. I'm disappointed in you Sam. Words are no good if you can't back up cyber dick slappi... swinging with the real thing.

Back to the topic at hand, a quaife really does help when you have drag radials or slicks. Without the quaife its hard to get both tires spinning in the water box. Also, nick ran a 2.0 60 on drag radials not street tires. Trust me, I own them.

How much better can the car get with slicks and a quaife? I'm assuming the top ten quickest had these mods or not?

The Quaife or Wave Trac will assure that both tires spin.
Slicks are great! Gotta have traction for good 60' times.

I agree.

FWIW, I have cut 1.94 60' times.

As far as the internet dik swinging, I have many more drag passes than both of you put together. I also have my super comp license, so I am certified for single digits!

I win!!!:p

1.8 in a SHO? Riiiiggghhht. I pulled a 1.8 launching pretty hard with an AWD vehicle and that takes some abusive driving.

I saw it, they hooked up a SHO, to TWO Bugatti Veyrons, it was on You tube.
Best I remember in a SHO was 2.0 with those HEAVY old Borbet 5 spoke, ugly but wide rims w/ Dunlops sticky but street tires back in 2002.

lol...I mean, you can have an opinion and still be wrong about it. Just like you think getting a 1.8 in an sti is abusive or impressive. That's the norm, and probably closer to 1.6-1.7 is the norm. Just FYI.

Been done, and at 2 separate tracks in 2 different atx's. There were witnesses both times. Myself and another guy on here did it, i forgot his name though. They will most likely chime in. Hard to believe, but not impossible.

Never said it was impressive ;), but it's definitely abusive. You didn't see a stage 2 STi run a 1.6 60' either. If you think I'm wrong, please prove me otherwise. 1.7's aren't "the norm" either. That's like saying 14's is "the norm" for a stock SHO.

I believe Chris (AutoSHO) was pulling consistant 1.6's at Nationals (which he won) in his 2,800lbs Evo with over 500ft-lbs/tq at the wheels, track tires and one **** of a good driver.1.6's are for from the norm, but just because you have an opinion doesn't mean it's right... Weird...

. Hmmmm... No slips or video, but "it's been done".

I didn't say anything about a stage 2 sti at all. I think you just mentioned that. It's not abusive. That's clearly your opinion of abusive.

Hmmmm... No slips or video, but "it's been done".

I see that your argument went from impossible to slightly skeptical. I will look for the slip, might not find it but I will look. There is a video of one of my runs, but it cuts out before the time is displayed. I'm not gonna argue with you dude. I already did this in another post. It's not worth it. You could believe myself and the 15 people that were there both times or call bs. I honestly don't care. I believe I might have even told Brian (Area91) the day after it happened too. Just called to have him go, "what the ****?" lol.

Your annoying. I usually don't like reading your posts.

I'm sorry you can not read sarcasm and I'm also sorry that you find me annoying.

Meet me in person and then make judgement. Tidwater SHO is having a meet in Virgina Beach on october 17th, you are welcome to come. We are going to make fun of **** for having a slow overweight Gen 4 SHO and Kevin Spann because both of his SHO's are in peices in his driveway.

I've held my opinion on the 1.8 ATX discussion because I can see how many people are calling BS but I am not 100% ruling it out. My post was making fun of myself for a post I made on Page 1 in regards to my l33t SHO drag racing skills, Not your claim of a 1.8 60' time.

That's not abusive? Judging by your screen name, I'm thinking abusive has something to do with a wife beater and your old lady. I think my clutch would say otherwise.

You tried to tell me that common STi's run 1.6-1.7's... I took that a step further and correlated it to what a common STi is, which is stage 2. It's a thinker, so I'll give you a minute.

So you told Brian the day after... Well ****, it's got to be true now. My skeptcism hasn't changed. For such a great, game changing time for the SHO history, nobody can prove it.

Your annoying. I usually don't like reading your posts.

No, you're annoying. Sam are teh 1337.

You ran the fastest 60 ft time in a SHO by .2 secs.. two times.. with another guy who did the same thing then what ?

downed a bottle, forgot the other guys name and took a lighter to timeslips. Just suprising to me when people run the fastest or most hp/tq anything whatever then always lost/misplaced timeslips/dynos .

Jason - STi owners manual Driving tips
Dear new Subaru driver, you may find your new Sti does not accelerate from a red light faster then some 90's era Ford Taurus's , in order to avoid this we at Subaru strongly reccomend this procedure for leaving a stop light -

1. Place vehicle in first gear
2. Rev engine to 5,500 RPM's
3. Release clutch violently while pressing the throttle to 100%
4. Roll down driver window while sticking your middle finger out to said 90's era Ford Taurus drivers

* disclaimer * This is not abusive to your Subaru
