I told you when you first got there, mi casa su casa.

Help yourself, I know you know where the fridge is.

Besides, I'm a mortgage broker, not a bar tender :rofl::rofl:

Alright, you asked for it! Hey, lets get the crank bolt off DRUNK!! That'll be fun! :nut:

You tryin' to say something?

It sounds so much cooler to say "mortgage broker" than "car salesman". Dammit, I wanna be a broker now.............

I think someone needs to get laid or something...
more like hanging out with yamahasho a lot has degraded my maturity level to that of a high school freshman... I should have gotten my eyes fixed so I could compete for a pilot slot... I'd fit in great with all the fighter pilots...

edit: this post was a joke... and a test

Sorry, can't be drunk. A few cold ones is fine but the crank bolt issue needs to be resolved first.

What I'm trying to say is if you want one, get one out of the fridge. It's not there to sit in fridge and look pretty. (My Disclaimer) It's there to be enjoyed in a responsible manner.

Believe me, the title sounds a lot more glorious than what the job really entails. :banghd:

Yup, get to a certain point and it's nothing but a recipe for disaster.

Anyway, I'm going to stop by the hardware store tonight after work and get a length of chain. I believe that's the only thing that I'll need to try to get this bolt off now.

Then it's time to get down to business. :woo-hoo:

I'm still planning on going. I need to find a cheap hotel down there for Saturday night though! Don't feel like sleeping in the SHO.

Also need to take the intake and all apart and clean it for the SHOw!:sun:

yeah I got some work to do to mine for sure......

might plan an early junkyard run tomorrow morning and look for some door trim, or any good mirrors, I want to put on body colored SLO mirrors...... everyone I've found so far in silver is screwed up....

if melbourne doesn't have many good hotel deals, try out Cocoa beach, its further north but has lots of hotels....

I used the bump start method on my ATX and broke the front engine mount. took it to work and used the impact and a few min of pounding away got it off. My brothers 89 SHO was another story. CPS failed so we could not drive the car. bump start failed. 4-5 foot pipe failed. But can you guess what didn't fail? probably not. i'm not proud of it but by god did it work.

we pulled it down the street with my SHO at a really slow roll and he dumped the clutch in 1st gear. It locked up the tires and stopped us both. The next time we did it from 10mph and put the ratchet pointing straight up so the engine could get some momentum and following the sound of a impressive BANG the bolt was loose. put a little ding in the subframe where the ratchet hit too.

to the OP. it sounds like your mobile mechanic did have a 3/4" impact gun. is there any way you can go out and get a adapeter from 3/4" to 1/2" for him so he can use that gun? Or get a 19mm socket in 3/4 drive for him to use. Honestly that would be your best bet if tom's tool isn't all he says it is.

anybody wanna wager he bends the crank?

I sure flippin' hope not...

Between the JB Weld post and this, please stop putting a hex on me. I don't need anymore headaches with this car. It's been more of a pain in the **** that I have ever expected. Plan for the worst but hope for the best.

I would pick up the reducer but I'm sure they would want to charge me for another service call even if the bolt doesn't come out.

I'm just going to give Tom's tool a go (bring on the innuendos) and see what happens.

Maybe the next FSHOC meet can be at my place for a 3.2 swap should SHO_ROLLER and I not be able to get this bolt off.

We can call it the Lake City Beer fest.:rofl::rofl:

nope. you were too specific. I could have tried but it wouldn't have worked out. with your other post it was about a "massive tool" meant to "get something off"

SHO_ROLLER and I are going to get back at it tomorrow. I'll fire up the video camera, take some pics and keep everyone posted on our progress.

Hopefully we'll be able to make some progress on the crank bolt.
