3/5/R basket mods?

I will be going on my third Trans with this issue...

Used Flex 70k on it.. I start throwing power to it and boom started slipping in 3rd and 5th. Wave washer was broken.
Have used car warranty - get a Ford reman installed 12k later same issue. Pulled and rebuilt at the local Ford dealer(under warranty). Picked up a used 80k and boom same thing... about 10k miles on the used unit it's slipping in 3rd and 5th.

Now you may be asking where is the Reman at.... It's back, rebuilt - hiding in the garage, waiting for Raybestos to find some time to make the parts we all have been waiting for.... thus the only reason I snagged the 80k used unit and dropped it in.


So, question of the hour is, I can't seem to find the info on the snap ring update for the 3/5/R basket...

Can you help??

Has a off the shelf part been created already?

Anybody know where to find the info for the update?

What my guy is going to do is go to his massive pile of snap rings and see if there is something that is of greater strength that fits properly

Just get the factory one heat treated. Lots of places do heat treating.
