ok, so i've had my 3.2 mtx with 3.0L intake cams on the road for a month or 2 now, and now that its getting colder its starting to act like my buddies 88 monte, in that i have to get it to idle with my right foot.
i thought the IAC would keep it idling nicely while cold. anyway this is exactly what it does:
say its about 10C (50f) or less out; i hop in the car (cold) fire it up, it will swing up to about 2k and drop down to idle around 750, i let it idle for a few seconds while i do up my seat belt/play with radio etc. throw it into reverse (trying to avoid grinding
) back out onto the the street, pop the clutch aaaand it stalls!! fire it up, into first, get it moving, get going, 1st, 2nd 3rd, 4th, red light!!! pop the clutch hit the brakes, oooo its stalled!! start it up with a bump in 1st if im still moving or turn the key.
once it warms up it's fine, am i just going to have to deal with this or is there something i can adjust?
on another note it does seem to stall out best when i pop the clutch from higher rpms, maybe i just have bad driving habbits?
(this is my first dd standard) although i didn't think popping the clutch at 2k would send it into a stall.
