ok, so i've had my 3.2 mtx with 3.0L intake cams on the road for a month or 2 now, and now that its getting colder its starting to act like my buddies 88 monte, in that i have to get it to idle with my right foot.
i thought the IAC would keep it idling nicely while cold. anyway this is exactly what it does:
say its about 10C (50f) or less out; i hop in the car (cold) fire it up, it will swing up to about 2k and drop down to idle around 750, i let it idle for a few seconds while i do up my seat belt/play with radio etc. throw it into reverse (trying to avoid grinding :( ) back out onto the the street, pop the clutch aaaand it stalls!! fire it up, into first, get it moving, get going, 1st, 2nd 3rd, 4th, red light!!! pop the clutch hit the brakes, oooo its stalled!! start it up with a bump in 1st if im still moving or turn the key.
once it warms up it's fine, am i just going to have to deal with this or is there something i can adjust?

on another note it does seem to stall out best when i pop the clutch from higher rpms, maybe i just have bad driving habbits?
(this is my first dd standard) although i didn't think popping the clutch at 2k would send it into a stall.

I had the same stalling issue lately. In the mornings going to school with lights, fog lights, ipod/stereo/heater on car would stall coming to a stop(applying brakes). I had recently pulled my battery and needed to do the Idle Air reset...that fixed it for me. Maybe you can try that??

I agree. Search the forum for the idle reset procedure and do that. If it is still a problem, go through the base idle setup procedure in the FSM.

do you get any codes?

a million codes, they take forever to read since every single one says my tranny is missing, so it takes a while to get to anything usefull.
im going to try resetting the idle and then sit for half an hour to read 60 codes about my missing tranny :( and egr system. aghhh i wish i could just tell the computer the tranny is gone.

So you are running a 3.2MTX with the 3.2 computer and harness? Do you have the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) for the manual transmission hooked up? When the car is warm and you are coasting to a stop, press the clutch in while braking. The idle should stay around 1100 to 1300 RPM until you reach 2 or 3mph, then it should slowly go down to 750 or 800 as you come to a complete stop. If it goes down to 800 right away the VSS / wiring is not correct. Without the VSS hooked up on my stock MTX, my car would stall out exactly like yours while it was cold (and occasionally after it warmed up....) The higher the revs were when I popped the clutch, the more likely it was to stall.
