I have a perf pack with H&R and maybe it's Oklahoma road but there are some bumps that make me feel like I am going to break my car. I did not feel these on the stocks. I also did new struts and KYB upgrades rear shocks with the H&R.

I personally think lowering a vehicle without taking into account all of the geometry changes is a bad idea. I'm also not a fan of reducing travel on a daily driver.

I'm going to be running the H and R springs, with the police shocks, on my non pp SHO. I'll let you folks know how different the ride quality is.

Another option for firm suspension and smooth ride, is smaller diameter wheels with higher sidewall tires.

No thanks on the second option. I went up a size in sidewall on my ST. The sidewall flexes more and it makes the body roll more pronounced when I drive it spirited. Since the ST is smaller it doesn't make it terrible, but I do have to give it more input because it more sensitive to under steer.

If you like a smooth, comfortable ride, stay away from the H&R springs as well. Things will knock your teeth from your mouth. Probably the #1 regretted mod on my car to date.
Man, that's sad to hear. I dont have a SHO, but I absolutely love the way my H&Rs handle (may be because of the different platform) but I also have the Bilstein B6 struts/shocks. It REALLY changed the ride quality. Might be worth pairing those together...

From what I've read about the trans mounts it seems they're probably only ideal for someone who likes to launch hard off the line. Is that fair to say? I like a smooth, comfortable ride. Probably best for me to stay stock, right?
Please take this trans mount and other discussions to another thread. This started about noisemaker delete and went off the rails into at least two other areas. Please keep to the thread.

Back to the thread: I replaced the OEM tube with the no-noisemaker equipped Lincoln part outlet tube, p/n AA5Z-6F073-C. I can't say that I've noticed any significant difference (not having any sound-level devices installed) but I will say from recent (today!) experience, with the windows open, I can't tell whether the front end or back end is making more (pleasing!) noise. With the SCT tune, it's quiet and tame until about 1800-2000, then there's a "kick-in-the-butt" as the torque kicks in and suddenly you're crossing MPHs more than planned (at least while I was working on breaking in new brake pads!) I still haven't punched full throttle from stand-still through any range, but the kick(in the butt) I felt today shows me the 2011 (with CAE, plugs, and SCT tune) still has lots of room to give my Mustang a run. Good thing I can't be in both cars at the same time!

Not new (notice it says "Joined ... 2016"). Yes, many threads go astray and in my observation, the off-thread discussion gets moved. This one went not just off track, but into the next park. Makes it difficult to search for meaningful info.

Dang, who hurt you. You're all wound up tight man. I'm just being satirical about your 'newness' but, Does you joining in 2016 with your whopping 60 contributions mean you get to come in like the Sheriff of SHO and demand we do things? I was simply pointing out that 8 of 10 threads do this and if it keeps the conversation going I don't think it's too bad of a thing. But now the convo is dead and I'll be on my way.
