126k and the person i bought it from didn't say he had any issues and i took his word for it. **** since march ive had zero mechanical issues at all. The only hiccup was a dirty battery connection back in august when the car shut off on me as i was backing into a parking space. Cleaned up the connection and tightened down the negative cable and bam i was back in business. But im beginning to think my car has had the water pump and timing chain already replaced if i had made it this far and the car running strong, no leaks, no funny noises and plenty of boost!

This whole platform makes me nervous, every noise and vibration takes a week off my life and a chunk out of my account. somehow I still find it worth it, the dealer that did my chains and pump had an invoice of around 5k give or take, included plugs and some other routine maintenance items, but that was a Ford dealer so I expect it to be kind of high. I would highly recommend an oil pump while you or the mechanic is in there, it is worth the preventative maintenance and a Melling high volume is under $200, and once the water pump is out of the way it is literally right there behind it, the procedure to replace the oil pump is the exact same thing as the water pump. I'd say plan on 5k to have a shop do it, could be less, but to do it yourself if you have the ability (know your limits, this is a deep job) you could probably come out around $1000-$1500? Maybe even less, its a matter of parts quality and what all you decide to replace along the way.

Right. My brother-in-law works at a shop out of Novi Mi and this upcoming sunday me my dad and him are gonna tackle this job. Itll be after hrs as hes off on Sundays when the shop is closed and their rule is that they can't have any mechanics there alone. They need someone with them incase there's an accident etc. So 8am Sunday im heading out that way. Shouldn't be a bad job just alot of un-doing wiring, spark plugs, intake, the valv covers front & rear have to come off, motor mount, then we can get the timing cover off. After that its self-explanatory. Im aware we'll have to rotate the motor around to match up the timing marks too. My brother-in-law has done plenty of 3.5 ecoboost engines so it's fresh in his head. I sourced a YT video of a guy who replaced his on his 2013' non performance package SHO and he had around 115k. He did it in his garage with his dad.
Wish me luck!

I was one of the lucky ones, my sho had 141,000 miles when I traded it in a couple weeks ago and it was on all the original parts. The only thing I ever had replaced was the map sensor.
