Hey yall so I bought the ford flex factory noisemaker delete pipe from oemfordpard.com for $118 after shipping. That was about the cheapest price I could find it new.
Part # AA5Z-6F073-C
I ordered it back in March but it had been on back order from the supplier until last week.
So I'm sure this has been posted 100 times but I didnt realize the new pipe came with the sensor... which I believe is a map sensor? That explains why it costs so much, I thought I was getting price gouged on a sensor-less replace tube until it arrived.
I have a 2016, non pp SHO and have no mods besides a twin catch can setup.
Before and after I cannot tell a difference in the engine sound in the interior of the car at any time. Even with the windows down I could not tell any difference at any speeds or amount of throttle. If there is any sound difference it must be very subtle.

I never noticed any sound difference after the noisemaker delete. I run AD trans mounts though. They give you all the cabin sound you need. Ha!
From what I've read about the trans mounts it seems they're probably only ideal for someone who likes to launch hard off the line. Is that fair to say? I like a smooth, comfortable ride. Probably best for me to stay stock, right?

Yeah that’s fair to say. If you like the anemic modern lifeless feel of cars. To each his own for sure. I personally can’t stand sitting in a car and questioning if it’s even running or not. However, you don’t have to launch balls out to feel the improved shifting characteristics.

The upgraded factory rear mount was enough for me but I never tracked the car. The aftermarket mounts just aren't worth the cost for it unless you are running the strip.
I never saw the SHO as anything beyond a comfortable cruiser that bullied people at the light.

I started with factory mounts, upgraded rear ford mount, then I went to SSM and i wasn't a fan of the increase in NVH(which is actually less than the other aftermarket mounts)...but too each their own.

Haha! The trans mounts are in my cars near future, I was considering the mounts from ssm with the hybrid bushings.

I’d advise sticking with Anthony Dicunzolo’s mounts.
Those are made 6000ft below the surface of Mars by newborns wearing Nike and eating uranium!!!!

Plus you get cool stickers and a 77yr warranty!

Disclaimer: none of this is true, or maybe it is...i think its funny either way.

These trans mounts are highly controversial haha, but I've read great things about those hybrid bushings. I have also read great things about Anthony, and when I contacted him on facebook messenger he replied quickly and professionally.

If you like a smooth, comfortable ride, stay away from the H&R springs as well. Things will knock your teeth from your mouth. Probably the #1 regretted mod on my car to date.

Completely over exaggerated. Mine rides firm, but not like a tank. I actually prefer the look and handling of H&R's, over the couch feeling with large amount of body roll of the stock PP springs.

Is there an option for somewhere in the middle of performance and couch-like ride?
I love the look of the lowered SHO, it's just the best to me. However I like the smooth ride of the stock springs.
The roads where I live are horrible, we can't even seem to get a manhole cover remotely close to street grade.

Yeah fully adjustable coil overs would be your best bet.

I have ridden in a non-PP H&R SHO. It was less firm then my PP H&R SHO. I actually would prefer the non PP H&R set up if it was my daily. Since my SHO is my weekend and long road trip car, the firm ride does not bother me at all.
