Just a word to the wise.. Clean your silencer pipes. Mine had metal shavings from the manufacturing process and the interior weld needs to be cleaned up with a dremel and then blown out with air, washed and blown out again.. Had a similar issue with an AEM meth kit. There was plastic shavings in the tank from drilling the hole for the level sensor which clog both the pump and nozzle. Same procedure blow, wash, blow…
I have apprised Mike of the situation

Also on the hot pipes with the BOV's take a little sandpaper to the sharp edges that will tear the bellow on insert. Put a light coat of oil on it on install.

Mike is already aware and has posted a warning in the description in red bold font. "Please make sure to wash and blow out the pipes prior to installing it is possible there is machining oil and metal shavings in the pipes after manufacturing is completed."
He goes a step further on the intake page and states "Please make sure to wash and blow out the pipes prior to installing it is possible there is machining oil and metal shavings in the pipes after manufacturing is completed. Powder coating blemishes on the end of the pipes due to machining oil will be covered by the silicone hoses and will not impact the functionality and/or appearance of the pipes. Be aware, the raw pipes have extensive machining marks and scratches due to the production on the mandrel tube bending machine. If you want a show quality piece order the powder coated option." The warning on the hot pipes page is a little less obvious as it is normal font and normal block color.

My post was in no way a reflection of Mike. I’m not in the habit of MF’ing people who are making custom and or high performance products for a platform that most people wouldn’t bother with. He is using a new vendor and should receive feedback from his end users. Call me capricious but I thought the purpose of a forum like this is to share information, (without judgement), to improve our platform and ultimately save people parts, money and time..

I was NEVER under that impression, however I did read and see Mikes note on his web page. No damage done, and I didnt read it as a negative, but a word of warning. :)

Well I received mine at the post office last night and got it installed along with a coolant flush, ported intake manifold and ported throttle body.
I got mine in satin black and there was no metal shavings in mine at all. I still washed it and blew it out however

Despite the long wait, it's a very well made part. And it was nice to have actual brand name clamps and boots with it.
The word I would use to describe the clamps and silicone adapters is “serious”.
My noise maker delete has the 1/8th npt meth bung which may account for the FOD.

How was your interior weld? I noticed no one has mentioned it since I brought it up. I had to clean it up with a dremel which to me is more paramount than the machining debris...the preparation in the powder coating process would remove any oil or machining.

Interior weld on the bung?
Negative, the pipe or at least my pipe is two pieces welded together. Hence there is a welding bead on the interior of the pipe which protrudes into the throat. Mine had slag which needed a brief clean up with a dremel. The welds on both my sensor and meth port are on the exterior.
Again, I sell high end electronics and if one of my clients unearthed a potential manufacturing QC issue I would certainly want to know before one of my products caused an issue.
Am I particular, yes, new motor, stage 3 turbo's, intercooler, full exhaust, PPE DP, HPFP. I spent a lot of coin and I am protecting my investment. Point is maybe mine is a one off, maybe not.. I was told that EPP is using a new vendor and just am throwing out an observation before it becomes an "issue".
Afterall im just saying to keep your pipe clean which is always good advice

Did you port the throttle body yourself, or buy it?

Do you have a link? Notice any gain?

I did it at the same time as my ported Intake and tune so not entirely sure how much gain there is from it

Death Before Stock doesn't make them, the guy on eBay that I sent the link for USED to supply them. But Death Before Stock isn't affiliated with him anymore, and won't take his pictures down from their website.
