LOL DAMN YOU (stewie voice). I was expecting and ready for it so I'm on a 1/4keg mad. When the time is right I'll video a .45acp going through it :-\

@FiveLeeter918 I just shot you an email. Talk soon!
PS...HOLY $hit fuel parts are EXPENSIVE

Sure thing, I'll keep an eye out. And yea they are, but we offer some bundle packages that help cushion the blow a bit.

Hi Lee! Great news and thank you for stopping in to the thread!
I'm always looking to spend my money in a place with good service and ability to make a package deal; I do very much appreciate that.
Is you site up to date with everything you have?
If not, let me know and perhaps we can email or phone.

Lee, and others that may know.....
I have the Livernois "My Calibrator "with my current tunes on it. Is it safe to assume when this is all ready to go I'm going to have to program the car back to stock and get a SCT or other tuner than what I have now or is that compatible with tuning?

Thanks again!

The site is updated with every known SHO part that we can get our hands on. Pretty much everything but PPE, the AD mounts, and those niche parts with the skull on them. I'm in talks with the first two just trying to get some better pricing, but it's a slow process.

And yes, you'll unfortunately have to ditch that in favor of SCT or HPTuners. We have the SCT X4s and the HPTuners RTD on the shelf ready to ship, and we can also get the SCT BDX and Livewire TS+ if you'd rather go that route.

Welp.... I've already communicated more with Ortiz than all places I've reached out to, combined. I'm thankful good people and service like that is still around. In interest of actually driving the car this year it looks like like I'm going to do as much of @Jordan_R motor source thread as I can.

Once I clear some things up with @FiveLeeter918 I'd like to bounce my ideas off you folks and see your thoughts if I missed anything. HERE WE GO, LET'S MAKE SOME POWER

Hate to say it, but when you use that device, they hijack your stock file and hold it hostage essentially.

They'll claim they don't, but I, and many others know otherwise.

You might as well throw that piece of junk into the trash (unless of course you need a paper weight) and start sourcing around now for a stock program.

Are you saying I'm going to have to get this thing to Ford to officially make it tunable with another method (assuming SCT X4 or Livewire) even after I use my calibrator to "return to stock"??

Hptuners doesn't care what file you flash over and I don't think SCT does either.

Can get stock files from hptuners forum or tune repository.

Don't let anything stop you from a good time

In other words to another tuner we may get lucky and if things the my calibrator return to Stock tune is truly the stock tune.

As long as I can tune the girl after she's built I'll be one jolly ass dude

I returned my car back to the stock tune file with the my calibrator from Livernois. Didn’t start it and immediately flashed AJPTurbo base tune file, no issues. The Livernois device finally hooked up with one of the hammers in my tool box, and the rest is pieces. Literally.

The "My Calibrator" device uploads the stock file to a cloud.

A cloud which that vendor controls.

Unless something has changed since my own experience with them, they don't readily and/or voluntarily release the stock file back the end user.

Particularly when they know you intend on "going elsewhere".

Call it what you will, but me and others fell victim to their practices. In more way than one.

Your experience certainly was an expensive one!

In regards to the MyCal and my experience, the stock calibration stays on the device. I’ve updated my LMS tunes a few times and never have I had to go back to the “cloud” to grab my stock file when returning to stock. I could tell LMS right now to shove it where the Sun don’t shine and they can’t do a thing. This is with the original MyCal device and not the newer MyCal touch.

Any advice on sourcing a stock program? My vehicle was tuned 2 owners ago. Original owner had it repoed and the tuner was not with it. Second owner had no clue and just drove it. I am completely guessing it is an LMS tune because it has an LMS intake. No idea how to tell who or what is on it.

Quickest way to test, do you have any friends that are into Mustangs that have an SCT handheld or HPTuners?

Try to pull a read on your car.

With SCT, plug in your handheld and go to VEHICLE INFO then look at ECM Strategy and ECM SWPN. If this information is populated with a 7 digit alphanumeric sequence (Strategy) and a Motorcraft Part Number (SWPN) you should be fine. If it says something like "NOT FOUND" or "GHTUNED" then your pcm is scrambled and you're looking at a trip to the dealer to get it reset.

With HPTuners, plug in the MVPI2 and try to pull a read on the stock PCM. If it successfully pulls a read, you're good to go and you can actually use their MVPI2 to tune, just pick an Ecoboost tuner that supports HPTuners (we do!) and send them the .hpt fill you pulled and purchase tuning support and they can do the rest. If it errors out or pulls in a tune that is NOT your vehicle (we've done reads on SHOs that come back as a 3.7L Mustang due to the strategy scramble) then you can try to force a new stock tune in like @High on Ethanol suggested, or you're looking at a trip to the dealer.

There is also a chance that you don't have a tune at all, as the intake is not tune dependent. Pull the engine cover off the car and compare the parts numbers on the two map sensors on the car - one in front of the throttle body on the charge pipe and one on top of the intake manifold. If the numbers are the same, then you have an upgraded 3 bar map sensor (what LMS uses) and you are definitely tuned. If the part numbers DO NOT match, post a pic of each here and we can decypher for you. This doesn't mean you aren't tuned, but having matching numbers you MUST be tuned to operate properly.

Hi All....
Anyone know if this works for the 2013 trans?
I'm just starting to dig into the trans research.... Sure would like to beef it up anyway possible while it's opened up.

It's all OEM-equivalent stuff, so don't be expecting anything "performance" with it. Basically an OEM refresh kit. But looks like it'll work, if that's all your looking for.

Thank You for the heads up.
Either way it's going to get refreshed so this is a start.

Thank You. I will have to try and find someone local that can do this. Got out of the car scene for awhile.
