I have been having issues with my headlights, the headlight has been not turning on while my dash flashes on/off light and other times they both flash on and off then other times it will work fine for a little bit then it flashes again, parking light mode works fine, I replaced the headlight switch then the ground strap wire and it kinda helped but I'm still having issues, I also notice white electrical smoke above in the glove box for a second when I turn on the headlight for a second but I can't figure out where it is at and couldn't see any burnt wires/connector

what would be causing this or is it a bad relay or something else?

My first thought would be the dinner switch. All the interior lights and the headlights run thru the dimmer. Play with the auto lamp switch and the dimmer dial to see if you can get anything to change. My next thought would be the ground under the hood. The ground for the cluster is on the drivers side inner fender next to the air filter housing.

I checked out the ground last Friday and cleaned it with a wire brush, I checked/test the dimmer switch and it doesn't seem to make a difference, also the headlight issues happens as soon as I start my car at night but recently has been working since I checked the ground (maybe a ground issue)

thanks for the diagram, do you know where the auto lamp relay is at?

thanks for the diagram, I discovered the auto lamp relay is behind the stereo on the right side, the stereo has to be removed to access it, also so far I had no issues with my headlights/dash
