If we can get some more ATX buyers, we can see if we can combine them with the MTX run so we may not need to have 15 ATX pipes to start the run.

If you want an ATX pipe, get your order in ASAP. If the ATX buy does not go through, we will issue you a quick refund.

We are up next after another project. So we will be starting soon. Once we start I can give an estimate.

Also we should be able to do a lower run of headers for a bit more if anyone else is interested.

highly unlikely....... even if they were making them right now that probably wouldn't happen......

and horrible for me, I go back to school on January 12th:banghd:

hey man its a lot of work to design something up, then make it, then weld it, then package it and ship 20 exhaust parts to us.....

if it was easy we wouldn't be paying them to do it for us.....

I know, I never once told them to hurry up I am waiting patiently:) That response to you was more or less a joke. My mtx isn't going anywhere until spring time so I am in absolutely no rush. I just wanted to try to get it done over my winter break and get my wideband put on it, but it's cool believe me I know what it takes to make this kind of stuff work;)

Hopefully PLX, but my casing is cracked on the gauge and I have no idea if the gauge will work, I haven't gotten a chance to hook it up yet to see if it does.

Ok, dumb question.

How are these "equal length" Y-pipes? Does that mean it matches the oem lengths? For some reason, I was thinking each run from the headers were equal, but that doesn't make sense by looking at the picture.

Please don't laugh too hard.

Thanks...

Equal length means that each bank's pipe is the same length, it makes for a very smooth exhaust flow and will make more power then a pipe that is not equal length where the exhaust pulses "crash into each other". Make sense?

I guess that makes sense wrt the headers, but I'm not sure how that applies to the y-pipe. The banks are already combined prior to the y-pipe.

You want the whole exhaust equal length if possible. If the y pipe isn't equal length, then yes the gases will be combined at the top because of equal legnth headers, but when they get to the bottom of the y if it is not equal length, they are going to "crash" again and cause erratic exhaust flow.

also must note, no SHO y pipe I've ever seen is entirely equal length, maybe a couple custom ones here and there were......

if you notice the rear exhaust bank comes into damn near where the merge is for the two downpipes, if we can call them that, the front one is a lot longer though as it runs to the side a lil bit and has to go all the way passed the motor to the merge point.... This style bends the rear downpipe differently so that it uses more of the available space to lengthen it.... People argue this helps create extra power or can change the noise of an engine.....

Equal length definitly makes the engine sound better. If you have a full equal length exhaust or even equal length headers and a y pipe, your car will sound much healthier. I am goign ot measure up the sho source y pipe and if one bank is slightly longer then the other I am going to make up that difference by making that banks header shorter. I am going to go crazy waiting for my setup to be complete. Stock manifolds and y pipe to tuned equal length headers with equal length y pipe:dribble:

This is the best I can come up with that shows the difference between an equal length and a non equal length aftermarket SHO y pipe........... I dunno what type the non equal is....... its not stock however

notice how the equal length has a loop in it

...and the picture is worth 1000 words. Thank you! That is what I suspected, but the picture at SHO Source was not an equal length pipe, hence my confusion.

Thanks!!
