Got into the boost for a spirited run from a traffic light. About 10 minutes later I was stopped at another traffic light and noticed smoke coming from my car?! Pulled over and yes it was coming from my car. Looks like the rear turbo oil feed or return line sprung a nice leak. Oil all over under the car originating from that area. Ugh

Decided since I have to do some maintenance on the rear turbo may as well install some upgraded turbos?! Ordered some stage 3 turbo's from turbobay performance. Found them via another thread on these forums.

LOL, transmission is on borrowed time. Well my whole drivetrain technically is, aha. Just going to send it. Let's just say it has had a rough previous life to say the least. This is after already doing a single drain and fill 100 miles ago. Will continue doing a drain and fill until it's clear red. Already sourcing for a new/used one. Going to keep this car forever as there's a lot of sentimental value to it, so going to be tossing parts at it as stuff breaks. It is my daily as well so only time will tell how long it'll be. But my intentions are to replace parts with OEM or if available better than OEM (performance parts), if that makes any sense. Eesh1

Ok last night added catch can and noisemaker delete. I may be done for the summer. Was bone stock 2015 when I got it. This summer have also done trans mounts, tune (Livewire TS+, Gearhead tune, plugs, MAP, t-stat), brakes, and just simple maintenance. I have touchup paint and will take care of a few rock chips, etc. before winter. Certainly open to suggestions if there's something worth doing that I missed. Otherwise I have to save a few bucks to get my winter setup, which typically means steel wheels with Blizzaks on them for switching out by end of October (typical first snow time in northern Minnesota).

So far this has been a lot of fun and this car has been a blast. I used to have a Fiesta ST and a Yamaha VMax, both of which could always put a smile on my face. This Taurus is doing the same thing for me, and I like being wrapped in an extra few thousand pounds of steel in case I "encounter" one of the many inattentive drivers texting at the wheel out there. Maybe I should get a radar detector and/or a dash cam.

Wow, I have never seen fluid that thrashed in a running 6F55.

I have both a radar detector and a dash cam in all of my cars. People are stupid and if they do something and it isn't my fault, the camera goes a long way.

It’s brakes day boys. D69C7F39 8891 4A14 B8A0 9C75B981B323 Also, if you weren’t aware, the OE PP pads have been superseded and they have this blue backing. Won’t see all of it, but a little bit of blue popping through will probably look sharp once I paint the calipers black.

I expect to invent no less than three new curse words today. I’ll throw up some pictures once everything’s wrapped up.

If I ever find out who did these brakes last….
Went to the hardware store and got an extractor bit and a new screw. Hopefully that gets it out

Edit: well the extractor bit was useless. I kind of figured, but the guy at ace was a machinist for a few decades, so I figured worth a shot. When that failed, the ironworker in me took over. Great success
