Lovin that color!! Yeah, the catch for me at the moment is while the motor is out getting done I can rebuild the trans, clean up and paint the car, and de-mouse the carpet. The time is worth the money...I think.
Rpm in Georgia is good but I wonder what the price would be. I called Island Racing in South Hero and they said, “We don’t work on engines that small”. Which is ******** bc they built a local guys Honda Del Sol motor.....no sense in arguing so I said ok. There’s a local engine builder Pizzagali? But I think he misty builds boat motors and 20 grand was a number I heard tossed around from ppl talking about him. Then I spoke with Green Mountain GearHeads in Williston, just from hearing the parts list they were thinking like 10k. So the general consensus was it would end up costing me more money to have it done locally than it I were to look out of state. This is great!
Okay so we have:
RMB (great info on the website. The F150 block is different than ours though, right?)
From a marketing stand point, RMB would be my first choice.
CSS (looks like a good local shop but may have to provide them w/ parts?)
Livernois(loud and clear on that one LOL)
See, they get you pretty well on the website as well. But, yes, prices are up there for sure.
I actually stopped in and bought my mods on scene. Bought the car in Mich. and they were close by.
Filled the trunk with goodies and went on my way. I do sit here an wonder if the tune had any responsibility in the motor?
Max Power Auto (gotta check em out...quite a ways away from me tho)
Anyone hear of or deal with RPM in Georgia, VT? Website looks heavy Ford, V8's.
I just hear this block can be specific so I get all nervous.
On the same token, in the end game, it's a fricken internal combustion engine....C'mon!
I'll check out ortiz for parts as well!
Hoping to have the mill out of the car today so I gotta get my @SS calling some ppl ASAP.
Local would be sweet so I can drive it somewhere but I'll take quality and completion over that all day.
for all the help!Stock fueling shit's itself basically with a tune. If you throw an XDI Evo on there you can do about 500awhp before the lpfp can't keep up. Then you throw the DW300C LPFP in there and the injectors can't keep up at about 540-550awhp so then you throw the XDI +50% injectors and then you're good on injectors until about 700awhp, but the DW300C and the XDI Evo can only do like high 500s (guessing at this point) so then you need to get the XDI60 and figure out another LPFP or throw a boost a pump on there lol...20k...LOL...more than I paid for the car.
Shit, ya know, I didn't reach out to Max power.
I will do that in a few min. Hopefully, CSS can come through for me and I can keep it semi-local. Would be sweet to just have the heads taken care of in a one shot deal as well.
Thankfully, my company is pretty chill about shipping/receiving so I had my motor all crated up I wouldn't have trouble shipping it from here.
Thanks again for all the info 802! I owe ya afor all the help!
In the meantime, I got my air compressor hooked up so I'll be able to blast some of my brackets and control arms for paint. Hopefully link up with stage3 today and talk turbos.
So...anyone know off the top what our pump and injectors can actually handle reliably? The big question, do I really need the fuel add-ons with the new turbos and motor???
DAMN YOU @Jordan_R I can see this is going to get expensive LOL.
So...what you're saying is if I'm headed north of 500/550 then I'm wanting to do the whole fuel system. I'm thinking with bolt-ons alone it must be in the mid 4's or more eh?
Any word around the camp fire what our trans and PTU is comfy with? That is ultimately where I would keep my output so I don't have to worry about replacing the trans (mine will be rebuilt when it goes back in).
500/550 is fine with an XDI 35/Evo. You basically need intake, downpipes, intercooler hpfp, and turbos to get there. You can probably do it without an intake also but the others are pretty complimentary. Stock turbos can do like 460/520 so if your goal is 500/550 I'd say just get the GH Gen 3 turbos to retain stock like spool and ability to go higher if you want to. I did 536awhp at 70% wgdc on the Gen 3 turbos so plenty of room to grow. PTU is actually decently beefy other than the case and I have never seen a case of somebody destroying one from solely power. It's usually a lack of maintenance and the trans is "okay" with 500/550 power level.DAMN YOU @Jordan_R I can see this is going to get expensive LOL.

@FiveLeeter918 has all of that in stock on ortizperformance.com. I know he's been trying to sell some injectors for a minute and if you use code shoforum you can get 5% off your purchase... Or.... you could use code autoracing and get 6% off.Welp...may as well add DW300C LPFP, XDI Evo, and injectors to my list. If I got the car this far ripped apart I feel like I would be doing it injustice to not put the rest of that shit in there and have the capability there. Sounds like it all comes down to the trans in the end game as far as the weak link...

Thanks man! I'll get a shopping cart rolling and hopefully start all of my ordering processes Friday.
Fueling, turbos, suspension, just gotta get the mill figured out. Oh, and trans rebuild.

...with my current tunes on it. Is it safe to assume when this is all ready to go I'm going to have to program the car back to stock and get a SCT or other tuner than what I have now or is that compatible with tuning?!
that is correct...go back to stock first...
...oh and congrats on your new MyCalibrator paperweight!
