Your the best! I’ll be ordering those soon too!!
People are hungry for another tuning source on this forum https://www.explorerst.org/. People are waiting 3+ months for a tune from ZFG. Unleashed seems to have be having issues with their tune so people are resorting to..... Liverois.
Andrew is the guy to beat so I'm just trying to keep up with momma duck!Jordan, your influence is spreading!

Nice run!! Good luck at the track!! You have trans mounts right? It’s not lowered yet though? Just thinking about your wheel spin 1-2.Removed the spare tire, floor mats, back seat and head rests. 3/8 tank of tank gas. I still get either some wheel or tire spin on the second shift. Going to the local track tomorrow which might only be an 1/8 mile track

Made it to the track today, it was a bit of an odd day from the start! That MPH was really low... were you lifting at the finish line or the scoreboard? Sounds like an awesome day with the fam! Not that it matters for testing, but a little tip for next time - leave on the 3rd yellow.

Congratulations! Welcome to the 11’s club, officially. Going through the water definitely hurt your 60ft times. It sucks it was unavoidable! But you were able to make a bunch of 11 passes, and the fastest run of 11.79 with a 1.8 60ft definitely could been an 11.6 or so if your 60ft was in the mid 1.7’s or high 1.6’s would have been interesting.
I’ve had my best 60ft at 30 psi in those Nitto’s. Although it was bone dry and sunny out that day. I knew you were at 26 psi so I wasn’t sure airing them down even more would be better. One of those things you just have to mess around with. If you air them down too far it can add some roll resistance I believe. Now that I think about it it probably wasn’t good advise since you had to go through the water to air them up. My track offers free air so messing with the air pressure isn’t a big deal.
Congrats on your first track day! It’s addicting and I see very many future track days ahead of you! My first track day I drove through the water until someone told me I shouldn’t haha! Glad I could help you understand how some of the layout of the track is and what you’re supposed to do, as I had to sort of figure it out on my own, I wished someone could have told me what to do and to expect. It’s like you’re supposed to know what to do when you’re there. Lol.
Edit: Lol! So cool that you made it a family outing! Hearing the commentating from your kids....there’s Daddy! And when you took the ST down the track and one of the girls said it was slow! Lmao! Then your wife goes, “Not for long”! Fricken cool man!
Ahh ok. Can't say I ever looked at my tach at the dragstrip and personally I don't recommend it. You have to get up to stall speed before you can start to make boost, and trying to hold 2000 rpm isn't really accomplishing much. But the brakes won't hold at stall speed (my brakes aren't great so YMMV) so it is a bit of a timing game on the street but works out quite simple at the track. I do it like this:My second pass which was my fastest I did in fact lift kinda early. I wasn’t sure where the 1/4 mile marker was until after that pass.
Towards the end I was leaving on the third yellow. First couple passes I was staring at my rpm to make sure I was launching at 2k lol.

But the brakes won't hold at stall speed (my brakes aren't great so YMMV) so it is a bit of a timing game on the street but works out quite simple at the track. I do it like this:
1. stage.
2. mash that brake pedal to the floor.
3. as soon as first yellow lights up, mash that gas pedal to the floor.
4. as soon as third yellow lights up, release the brake.
5. enjoy the ride!
It's easier, less distracting, and much more consistent. Eyes never left the tree from the time I lit the pre-stage bulbs. I had 0.01s deviation in 1/4 mile times and 0.006s deviation in 60' for the night (four passes). I leave at ~2700 rpm, and 4 to 6 psi boost every time. Give it a try next time and see if it works for you!
Hmmm maybe my advice is no bueno for you then. Some wheel spin isn’t necessarily a bad thing though. I get torque steer sometimes but I can’t say I’ve ever felt like my car was sliding sideways. For me TC on or off didn’t make any difference. On, yes it would cut some power but not in a way that I really notice or feel until I look at the logs. Off, it would spin more and also hit a drivetrain torque limit at the top of 1st and kinda have a long limpy shift into 2nd. 60’ was the same so I opt to leave the TC on.I’ll try that technique next time for sure!
I didn’t try launching beyond 2500 on the track. I have tried launching at 2700 on the street and I get a lot of tire spin in 1st. With TC on the front tires spin than all it cuts all power to the wheels for a second.
I got a little sideways on basically every pass, it seemed the harder I launched the more I would slip or slide.
When launching at 2700 do you use TC?
