Virtual Dyno Day!

Did you have to create a vehicle profile to get it to work? If I load a run it's just blank. If I try to create a vehicle profile it puts a flashing exclamation point next to final drive whether I put 2.77:1 or 3.16:1

So I had to write in throttle angle actual ..in where it says TP(throttle position) then I had to make a custom file...I went off Lee's profile and made sure to put in 2.77 for my final drive....don't put in anything after 3.16 or 2.77....so don't add :1 to your entry. For every gear don't add :1 to the end. I then couldn't see that my custom file was added to the list of Ford....so somehow I pulled up the files...and clicked and dragged my custom taurus file I made and dropped it in the file for Ford....so then afterward....I could load a 3rd gear pull log...choose Ford and then click on taurus and my custom file...then choose 3 for gear and I Changed my wheel diameter to 27.6 bc I have 275/35 tires.

I get an application error when I go to save profile. Maybe windows xp is too old for the program.

Just so everyone knows, (I had to figure this out as well)...if you go to Columns and Profiles tab in File > Options, you'll see the datalog fields Virtual Dyno requires. If you want, you should be able to strip out all the other fields except for these five.

Then just make sure the five fields match what Virtual Dyno is looking for. You can change your datalog field headings OR you can change the Virtual Dyno items as shown below. It might also help to know that Virtual Dyno doesn't (or at least it didn't), seem to like the "|" symbol in the headings either.

Here's how I set mine. You can set them to whatever you want, as long as Virtual Dyno can match them up.

How's your PTU/transmission handling all that power?

I can't even get it to start up on my win10 PC, it just errors out, wish I could see 5k HP!

I'm thumbing through forums and the consensuses is the road I was on was no smooth enough. Unfortunately all my past logs did not monitor certain PIDs so the program does not like them.

Apparently the system is very easily effected by road conditions. A small bump in the road can alter the dyno quite a bit. I would imagine that was a bump in the road.
