Hey guys, so I wanted to start something new here. We've talked about it on our Facebook page and on other platforms, but we are a big proponent on the Virtual Dyno program for converting datalogs into dynographs. With clean data and correct correction factors, we've found the data to be pretty accurate. We've tested the program against our own Dynacom 5000 Series 2WD dyno on several customer cars and it's always been within 3% of our actual numbers. You can use SCT or HPTuners datalogs, you can even use Torque PRO on
Android if you aren't currently tuned but have an ELM327 bluetooth dongle.

After playing around with the settings, this is what I think everyone should use to keep things stable. The Taurus SHO is not part of the database, so you will need to create a custom profile. I've attached my file below, but you can also create your own using these specifications:

Vehicle tech specs:

Flex/SHO/Explorer Sport transmissions ratios
1 4.481:1
2 2.87:1
3 1.84:1
4 1.41:1
5 1:1
6 .74:1
R 2.88:1

non-PP
Final Drive 2.77:1

SHO PP
Final Drive 3.16:1

Weight options:
SHO weight 4224
Flex weight 4781

Frontal Area:
Flex 25sq ft
SHO 28.95 sq ft

Drag Coefficient
Flex .355
SHO .36

So how do you stack up?

Oh I can't wait to try this! Thank you!

Wait, the SHO has more frontal area and less drag coefficient than the flex!?!?

I questioned it as well but this is what my buddy who is a Ford engineer gave me. Confirmed by a few other places online.

So I can take my fastest quarter mile time datalog and just enter it and it'll spit out a graph?

huh, says needs throttle position...its a missing column needed for calculation??

For some reason you get this the first time. Forgot about that. Open your log in Excel, go to Throttle Position and copy the header ID text. Go into the options/settings in Virtual Dyno and paste this for the TP index.

Virtual Dyno Rev26 meth 3rd gear pull
This was a 3rd gear pull AJP Turbo 20 psi this year. Weight of the car I guessed at 4200 with rear seats out and myself and an occupant, he must weigh about 165 plus me at 205. I'll need to do another one. Whenever I get the damn passenger hub squared away. I dunno why air/fuel isn't on the graph.

Did you have to create a vehicle profile to get it to work? If I load a run it's just blank. If I try to create a vehicle profile it puts a flashing exclamation point next to final drive whether I put 2.77:1 or 3.16:1
