The new project is pretty much done on the current set up. 2jZ-Gte with VVTi with air being supplied by a 67 mm turbo. With our craptastic 91 octane it already makes more power then my SHO in both HP and TQ departments. On 12 psi she put 440/540 to the tire, only spinning her to 6400 rpm. My SHO 391/494 to the tire. The IS even with the turbo swap and wide body kit, already weighs almost 900 to 1000 lbs less then the SHO as well. So...
For the turbo to really shine, she needs cams. Better cams and better fuel...we all know a 2J can touch 700 hp without really much effort. I think a 600 hp and 700 tq set up will really shine for a 4 door sedan built to be a roll car...
So cams, fuel pump, and re-tune and she should really get down. Plus being a manual makes it even more fun.
