That completely explains it - first car? I had a Dodge Diplomat! Haha! You had a cool first car, man.
Yeeeessss. Beast.
Noooo. Spaceship.
As far as that 2.7 goes in the Fusion platform, that started in 2017 and replaced the 2.0 I was initially going to buy. That is a nice motor. I'm betting the transmission still has the weaknesses it had before, though, unless they toughened it.
Oddly enough, I feel exactly the same about you SM105K. LolHaha kids these days....idiots. Next tide pod ******** says "Okay Boomer" to me....
Also watch out, H.O.E. will grow on you. Lol.

Heh. Every generation has that phrase or two that drives their elders mad. Mine had "like".Haha kids these days....idiots. Next tide pod ******** says "Okay Boomer" to me....

Like, you know what I'm saying, like, when I brake, it, like, squeals.
It is rare to see a Mustang get into the high 11's here, esp on a street tire. In Phoenix we have other factors that is not present in other areas.
Fuel: Our 91 octane is trash. I run E30, so I usually have better fuel. +1 for my SHO.
Track Conditions: It is hot here, so the track is usually slick and hot. Most Mustang owners like to do big burn outs, which street tires don't like. They spin. My SHO cuts consistent high 1.7's to the 60 foot even in the heat. Usually when I leave someone really hard, they panic. +2 for my SHO.
Track Altitude and Density Altitude: These are crucial esp for the the N/A guys. In Phoenix, our track altitude is higher then most others 1135 above sea level. I think only Bandemere in CO has a greater elevation. Add the heat, usually complete dog crap DA as the time of this post (https://airdensityonline.com/track-results/Wild_Horse_Pass_Motorsports_Park/) sits at 3458 feet. I rarely see anything under 90 degrees and under 3000 DA. +3 for my SHO.
Not all cars run the same. We all know this. Also even a stock mustang isn't the easiest to drive. Our cars are pretty much point and shoot...so it takes the driver mod away.
So when I say, I can usually wax a new A10 Mustang I am serious. If they are on a Drag Radial it makes it harder, but it is doable. Now the street is easy pickens.
I agree with you. I have a friend who runs his A10 Mustang at Wild Horse and he is lucky to see 12.5. The new generation Coyotes need 93 octane fuel and decent air to run 11s.
