Good i was gonna ditch the ac anyways....
So basically, you would have it mounted, to where you can run an intake pipe from the bottom port, to the TB? then the intake for the S/C would be over were the battery used to be?
i was thinking of mounting it right in front of the motor, runing a platform from the front crossmember, having the s/c sitting there. then run the intake piping over to the TB.
and then of course all the other stuff..... from there it shouldnt be too difficult.Fabbing is the hardest thing i think... but thats my opinion.....
An eaton s/c doesnt need oil lines right?

I would mount it exactly where the AC Compressor now sits, that way you could use the two stock idler pullies that are before and after the AC compressor.

The Eaton can be mounted in any position as long as the pulley lines up and rotates in the correct direction, which is clockwise when standing at the passenger side of motor.

The Eaton SC is sealed and doesn't need an oil feed or a coolant feed for the bearings. The pulley shaft is "soft-coupled" to the rotor shaft by way of a soft plate with holes in it. I can't remember the fancy name for that type of coupling though.

The intake is at the back of the compressor and the outlet is on top.

Find a donor that would supply you everything. I always use Toyota CT26's from MKIII Supras and all the plumbing and intercooler. Fabbing everything is the hard part but there is no way to do it quick without screwing something up. And no I am not trying to make you blow your motor ;) . I have turboed 2 cars for under $500 each myself doing all the work.

You know what im doing all three!!! having the eaton were the ac goes, the turbo, and the nitrous.....
the s/c will put out 4lbs, the turbo will put out 5lbs, and i wil have a 50 shot!!!!! yeah!!!!
all on a stock motor.....lol man will that sound bad! the s/c wine, and the turbo spooling, and then a nice bov!!!!!
i think i will just stick to bolt ons...... lol!!!!

I know who it is.

I know who built the kit. He got it working this weekend and sent me a video. It makes some really neat blower whine. He said he will post pics up later tonight.

Does anyone want to host the video? Its just over 3 megs.

Here it is, my little project

Well here are some pics of my project. It is constructed of 6061 t-6 alumnum. all parts were cut using a milltronics mw-14 mill. It DOES NOT fit under the stock hood, but it bolts up using aLL of the stock hardware and a few vacuum line extensions.

mvc-005s.jpg

Go to this link to see some other pics. I have some much more detailed ones if anyone is interested.

http://home.comcast.net/~mikecrawford9/TylerSC/TylerSC.html

The breakdown on cost is as follows:
Eaton m90: $108.25
Material: $91 for 1/2" plate, $34 for 1/4" x 2.5" flat bar, $11 for 1/4" plate scraps
Labor: $100 for welding, because mine don't look as nice as these.
Misc: fittings, stainless bolts, gasket material about $30

As far as tuning goes, i have an LPM that i will have tuned on the dyno. I will machine a spare set of fuel rails for larger, probably 36-42lb, injectors. I will also upgrade to a larger MAF and strap a cone filter to the end if i cannot use the stock air box.

Any questions? comments?

Looks neat!

Chances are you will have to go with the Mark VIII MAF at the very least - The stock MAF will probably get pegged at 5v under boost.

If you tell me how mush boost you're running, I can figure out exactly how much MAF capacity and Injector you'll need to support the blower. How fast are you going to be spinning the blower at 7,000 rpm?

Way to go Tyler!

What is the ratio of the crank pulley diameter to blower pulley diameter? With that I can figure some issues of my own out.

What did you do with the timing?

AF ratio look semi decent with stock computer?

Again, congrats on leading the way to Eaton. I hope I'm next.
