Will a tune affect how my car sounds?

I just got my 2015 SHO and I’m not quite liking the stock exhaust. It’s just not loud enough at all. I want just a little more rumble but my question is if i do my exhaust now and tune it later will it affect noise?

Also: Any tips on how to make my exhaust just a little bit louder, but not like that loud. I know they are sleepers but i want a little something? Any Ideas?

Ok tunes will affect the performance and gas efficiency. Of course if your car performs better it will sound to you like a different car.

Look as many will tell you here including me - this car will never.... Never sound like a Dodge - insert hemi here, or a non turbo 6 or 8 cylinder performance car.

If you want an aggressive sounding exhaust - get one of them.

My car at slow speeds has a nice sound, however when I get on her, she sounds like a Japanese sports bike. Loud and can be heard for miles... But nothing that sounds mean, gurgly or throaty.

I have links here under "What have you done to your SHO today" posted on YT with how my car sounds at start and with some revving.

The only thing is I don’t want an aggressive exhaust. I’m looking for just a different muffler with a little sound difference than stock.

I have to agree with kryptto 100%. While I love our 2013 MKS I have never found a 6 or 4 cylinder to have an exhaust sound I liked. My earlier SHO's (I had two 1993 ATX's) sounded terrible too.

My daily driver is a 2014 Jaguar XJR with a tuned and SC 5.0L V-8. It sounds magnificent! Even with stock exhaust. That V-8 sound from any manufacturer is so hard to beat!

If you were around Lantana Rd and State Rd 7 today you heard my exhaust. I will say this, inside my car the drone is reminiscent of my friends 5.0 1988 Mustang drop top. But drone is not what it sounds like on the outside for sure, man when I peg it, you must hear me miles back.

Sounds like a rice burner full throttle - haha laughing at it cause it's true. Sounds like a 1000+ CC running a tuned muffler.

Doing an ethanol tune like e30 makes the sho sound different and more aggressive because the exhaust pulses have more volume than a normal gasoline exhaust pulse. Ethanol also has a faster flame propagation so the sound would be much deeper compared to normal gasoline burning in the same engine.

working on it this summer, those aholes at fuelit won't make an educated guess if I need a 5/16" or 3/8" kit for my car - I have the xdi with the low pressure extension. it comes with a 3/8" connector. I sent them all I had and they won't confirm.

I found an e30 gas station so no mixing.

so have a trip for 2 weeks coming up in June when I get back doing the ethanol sensor add. glad to see ya around @yaycandy I am excited about the ee0 changes after reading many peeps posts, but yours are great.
