Why is Unleashed tune less expensive than LME?

I just did the 170 (had the tune and 3 bar before) and it's amazing how much cooler the car is under WOT. Worth it 100% in my opinion. Before under a hard run my coolant would hit 220+ now I have to really push it to see over 205 and have never seen over 210. Worth it both in power and longevity sakes!

These would be my exact thoughts as well. If you plan on doing WOT pulls over a 100 mph...a must

So I ordered the Unleashed tune yesterday...
I also ordered the 3Bar and new plugs...
NGK plugs? It will be interesting what the factory plugs in your SHO are gapped at right now. Often they are all over the place. Good idea to check new plug gap too, I assume he recommended 0.o3o.

I will be getting NGK if I can find them around here. He said .028 is the number. I was planning on checking all current plugs just for fun, I'll post the outcome. If only UPS was at my door right now...

Motorcraft plugs work great, and are probably a lot easier to get (SP534), if you want to do that. RockAuto.com, Oreillys.com, Amazon.com have them priced competitively.

Damn that buggy is fast...I'm hoping to inch closer with the goodies I have now!

Rich

She's quick but only tops out at 124 on the dyno so nots so fast. The fastest I've ever been in her is that one time at the drags. I'm too old to even turn on the nitrous now. I'll be getting serious about selling her to a younger guy with bigger balls soon.

124 on dirt sounds pretty crazy too.

It's not all about how fast you can go, but how you get there is another story!

I will answer to the best of my ability, as I cannot speak for how other establishments handle tuning.

For us, dyno tuning starts long before you see a WOT run. We test at low RPM, then again at around 3700-4000, 5000 and then WOT. After we test and tune all of those we then have our calibrator go out onto the streets and test and tune live under real driving conditions until he is happy with how the tuning responds. AFTER ALL OF THAT, our shop supervisor will then go out on a longer and more diverse test drive to test all around performance, reliability and driveability. If everything is aces, we release a car. If not, we take it back to square one.

That is why we are able to supply you guys with such accurate and reliable custom remote tuning as well. We spend countless hours validating what we test on ourselves before we release any product.

“Champions keep practicing until they get it right.”
-Billie Jean King

We live by that here at Livernois Motorsports. We own the cars that we are actually offering tuning for. We test, double check and then test again on ourselves. We develop our own unique solutions VIA our engineering dept. We take the road that nobody wants to because it is more expensive or time consuming.

Here is an abridged list of some of our EcoBoost accomplishments alone:

In 2009, before anyone had software, we were tuning the SHO and MKS.
In 2011, we were tuning the F-150 Eco before other companies could even flash it. We were the first again
In 2012, we were tuning the 2013 SHO while other software wasn't out for 6-8 months later
In 2012, we were tuning the Explorer Sport, almost a full year and a half before anyone else.

My factory plugs ranged from .035-.044, I picked up motorcraft replacements on eBay for much cheaper then anywhere else.

It would be awesome to see adjustment on the power distribution!!

According to my friend that's a Master Ford tech, the trans can handle 550, but the rest of the drivetrain would be the problem.

Did gapping them correctly have any noticeable difference?

That's one helluva an "abridged list".

Oh my. Downright Boner-ific if I may say so myself!

LMS, can your tune calibrate the rear diff so it can fully lock before the front tires have a chance to spin? Tired of seeing front wheel spin. I'm assuming that can be modded somehow and somewhere.

I would have to ask about that as I do not know the answer off the top of my head. I will talk with the calibrator and find an answer for you.

Okay so the calibrator was in early working on some new tuning we plan on releasing in a few weeks. He said that the control module that would be capable of that is not located inside of the ECU, and is not capable of performing the task of reassigning power distribution.

I want to say....that when brake boosting the car into the 2000 rpm range, you're getting 50+ % of what the rear can take before you launch it.

Will check this when I get the car back today.

Actually, NONE of the following involved methanol AT ALL.
First to tune the 2.0 Fusion
First to tune the 1.5 Fusion
First to tune the 1.6 Fusion
First to tune the 2.0 Escape
First to tune the 1.6 Escape
First tune only 12 second SHO
First 12 second F-150
First 12 second Explorer Sport
First 11 second EcoBoost Mustang
First and only so far to tune 2015 F-150 3.5L EcoBoost
First and only so far to tune 2015 F-150 5.0L V8

So I do not know where you received that information from, but it is not accurate at all.

If you are just trying to derail the conversation, just say so. As for Methanol, we have tried EVERY kit out there. We exclusively use the Alky Control Methanol Injection kits, because their kits are the only kits that we have never had a failure with.

http://www.livernoismotorsports.com...oost-Performance/EcoBoost-Methanol-Injection/

We also have just finished up developing a kit for the XSport, contact us for details!

So you are saying that a stock 1/4 mile time of 15.4 @ 96 mph is better than

The truck is capable of awesome things even with it's limitations! We have proven this since 2013.
