Are these still available? They are unavailable at my local autoparts store and it sounds like the other plugs aren't long enough. Anyone know where I could find some of these bad boys?

Usually the aftermarket ones are longer than the stock ones. I use the autolites from autozone. They are 1/16" longer than stock but cause no issues for me.

You might have trouble finding Motorcraft AGSP32PP because you're trying to find Autolite AGSP32PP plugs. I can't remember what the part number for the Motorcraft plugs is, but that ain't it. You can also get AGSP32FM plugs that work equally well.

The Motorcraft AGSP32PP plugs were superseded seven years ago by the Motorcraft AGSP32FM.

The newer fine-wire plugs are fine to use and are easy to find. There is no need to waste time and money acquiring NOS plugs.

Cool, I'll go with them then. Any particular plug wires I should use or avoid? My local auto parts store has some by omnispark for only 42 bucks, anyone have any experience with these?

I didn't care for some of the aftermarket wires. I usually bought the OEM Motorcraft replacements. I can see that it's been a long time since I bought a set and the price has gone up considerably. I remember when I thought $79 was expensive for a set.

According to my local oreilly's auto parts the AGSP32FM has been superceded by SP497, are these really the same plugs?

I've always stuck with the OEM wires also.

My God, I really have been in the desert too long. I meant APP3942 for the Autolite plugs. The AGSP32PP are indeed the OEM Motorcraft plugs, with the 32FMs as the replacement. You can also get Autolite XP3942 plugs that will work.

Go to an AutoZone and get the Denso double platinum equivalent to the original Motorcraft. Denso made the OEM plugs. Note: There are potential issues with any plug that's not the same exact length as OEM. If I were home I could get you the Denso number, so I'll look and see and add it to this post later.

Edit: It's later now, here's some info. from SHO Times...

"Available aftermarket 'alternatives' do not have the correct geometry to allow the plug wires to seal the plug well off from water and other contaminants."

"The Motorcraft AGSP32PP spark plug was designed to the ISO specifications, not the SAE design which makes it's over all size approximately 2.3mm shorter from the gasket to the top of the contact. This is why most name brand spark plugs designed to the SAE specifications do not work in the SHO motor..."

"In fact the Motorcraft AGSP32PP spark plug was not designed or manufactured by Autolite (that's why the APP3924 plugs don't fit), it was supplied by Denso, formally known as Nippondenso. Because of this there are other spark plugs out there that will fit the SHO engine and the well seal spark plug boot and still run perfectly. This is good for several reasons. First, just in case you can't find the Motorcraft spark plugs you can use either a Denso p/n PK16PR-L11 or a NGK p/n PFR5G-11, both are double platinum equivalent spark plugs. I have tried the Denso plug in my car and they fit perfectly! A double platinum spark plug is desirable for street use because of it's improved ignitability, smoother idling due to reduce voltage requirement and reduced electrode wear which maintains consistent performance."

Has SHOtimes ever been updated in the last 5 or so years? Seems to have turned into an early 2000s archive.

I've used the fine-wire plugs on the last two 60k services and they've worked great. I've also used the Delco wires with great results. The fit is just like the factory wires, but price is considerably lower. I got mine from RCM. :salute:

I went to the dealer several years ago and had them do a nationwide search for the AGSP32PP, and I got a dozen and a half then mailed to me from the the only dealer that had that many in stock, and I still have 6 left new in the box! Jealous? :sun:
