I guess I'll add to the growing list of threads wondering where to go. Don't want to hijack someone else's.

2013, non PP. Current mods are catch can, catless downpipes, gearhead auto octane tune, drop in K and N airfilter, drilled and tapped PTU.

Nowhere in CT sells E85, so an E30 tune is off the table. Car pulls nice, but I'd like moar power.

Options? Gearhead intercooler, meth injection, xdi high pressure fuel pump. None of these are real power adders, though. Like, with the GH IC, would a revised tune make much difference?

I'd also like to get decunzlo trans mounts, but I don't Facebook.

What say you fellas? Whats the best way to coax more power out of her?

Personally next I'd go with the xdi hpfp. You get big gains even on 93. Then snag the gh intercooler as it gets hotter this year!

Cough just gonna shill and say Ortiz has hpfps and you can get 6% off using code AutoRacing. The intercooler and hpfp are great in my opinion and compliment further gains with some upgraded gh turbos down the line.

Whats a rough estimate of power for those 2, with what I have? Running full weight, and don't want to have to always worry about shredding the trans. Plus, combine, thats, like, 2,500 bucks. Gotta find a way to sell that to my wife, lol.

Honestly it's hard telling. I know a lot of gh cars with the xdi pump and intercooler with other bolt ons on 93 going like 12.2-12.3 full weight. Hard telling honestly there is a pretty big range. @ridered74 might be able to get you a better estimate as he's ran about that set up

I would do meth injection 100% VP M1 and that’s a for sure power adder. Checks the box for cooler IAT2, increase octane, increase fuel pressure. If you’re on stock suspension I would also do H&R springs. The GH IC is excellent paired with upgraded turbos, stock turbos you’ll be less efficient with it....but better do it if you’re not going to do meth. If it were me, considering the budget I’d do xdi35, DW300c, meth, h&r springs, trans mounts. And then sneak in a PP trans cooler that’s less than $150 installed yourself I believe. Ok maybe that’s closer to $2700. Then go upgraded turbos and upgraded IC next.

I forgot to list the springs...I'm already lowered on H and R springs, with magnum police shocks.

DW300c is in (in tank) low pressure fuel pump. It’s like less than $200.
Meth isn’t a pain at all. Meth will be ready to go at all times but it doesn’t spray anything until you hit whatever psi of boost you set it to. I’ve set it to 6.5 psi and 8 psi I can’t tell you the difference. So you can get in and drive like a normal person and you won’t spray anything. And if you were into it pretty good part throttle and you sprayed for a second and got out of it it’s not going to hurt anything. Depends on where you can get some, but a pale is generally $35-$40 for 5 gallons unless you buy it right at your track from the fuel shack per gallon, I think it’s around $6 a gallon. I’ll be impressed if you go through more than 20 gallons in a year. One 5 gallon pale is more than enough for me. Yes my car doesn’t get driven much but it lives in WOT when I have it out. I have up to 1 gallon in my car and I could do a dozen quarter mile pulls and be fine. I’m also spraying 1500cc so if you did 500 or 1000cc itll last even longer.

My car's best on 93 octane was 12.28, but that was on a 45 degree day with the car just sitting there for 3 hours cooling off and then I tossed the keys to someone and let them run it. With the car heat soaked on a normal day at the track the best I've gotten out of it was 12.62. Heat makes one heck of a difference.

One 5 gallon pale is more than enough for me. Yes my car doesn’t get driven much but it lives in WOT when I have it out. I have up to 1 gallon in my car and I could do a dozen quarter mile pulls and be fine. I’m also spraying 1500cc so if you did 500 or 1000cc itll last even longer.

I was curious after reading this about the shelf-life of methanol. A quick interwebs search revealed it does not have an expiration, does not deteriorate, or degrades when stored in an air-tight container. I would still wonder about being in the tank in the trunk with high temperatures over time.

I try to run it real low before putting it up for winter bc it will evaporate and I believe it loses some potency. But what’s left in your VP pale I don’t worry about. Who knows how old the stuff is that you buy unopened but generally I have always used the rest of what I had beginning of the track season and buy more around that time. Mostly what I use is new for the season

Do you do a 50/50 mix of meth and water?
