I was putting a new neutral switch in my 95' ATX and while I was there I noticed a sensor just below the neutral switch that had a VERY frayed wire going to it. Intend to make some sort of repair to this wire but I'm not touching it till I know what the heck it goes to. Checkout the pics below. One is a wide shot and the other is a closeup (as I could get).

Anybody know?

Thanks again, your a wealth of knowledge. This is next on my list of fix-its. The SHOs got 178k on it and the exterior/interior look incredible but I don't think it was mechanically taken care of at all. I've done alot of "maintenance"...to use that word loosely.

I'm sure I'll have more questions later...

not a problem, when i can help i will! you can go to the scrap yard and almost any taurus will have that conector, as long as it has a axode transmision, find one with good wiring and snip it so you get as much wire as possible and either use butt conectors, or solder it in. i know how it is, when i started out 1.4 years ago, man if only you knew the stuff i have replaced fabbed up, but it's a good hobby and lots of fun at 7000 rpm!!
