What boost levels are people seeing with the GH AO tune?

I couldn’t live with it. Sounds like either can you. Since day 1 of having catless downpipes I have never had a cel for it. LMS gave me a revision for them and when I switch to AJP I had to request a tune for my off road race car. If a cel popped up I would be worried what it is....check the code... the I’d be beside myself if it was for not having cats... When I don’t have any. Plus a CEL looks bad, it’s embarrassing. Better be for an actual reason...tbh it makes me angry. Not sure why but it does.

Glad it’s not just me. There’s a certain level of “hoopty” status achieved with a constant CEL. Yeah I think overall Matt’s a good tuner, great guy and hope he gets the cams figured out soon!

There are other ways of getting rid of those codes that wouldn't be by the tuner. I couldn't handle an ass ****** from the EPA with 4 employees trying to feed their families from my work. It is 10k per violation of "tampering" with the obdII system.

There is no exemption for a vehicle that has a vin number in the eyes of the feds. They aren't playing around anymore and have taken some to criminal charges instead of civil if they are doing enough of it...

Yep we've taken a no California sales approach, and have to be really careful in what we recommend as they're constantly tightening the grip.

I have been looking for a shop to make an x-pipe and custom exhaust, nobody will touch it because I have aftermarket down pipes. I don’t fully understand that because I have catted downpipes.

love all what Matt66 has done for this platform! I like my other tunes better as I don't fight the Kr on them and still put up the same power. Matt I would love to have one of your tunes WITHOUT THE AO. I know this is your benchmark but not all of us have the AO tune work on all cars. FWIW.

All I would do for that would be lock out the oar to stay maxed. Wouldn't make any more power.

Dylan I'm not being arrogant. But you truly don't understand why I set the tunes up the way I do. If a customer has more that 3 degrees of KR on the fuel they are running at wot, I back the boost down. Simple as that. Then it also pulls timing out with he adaptive timing trim signified by OAR. I did that on purpose instead of running more enrichment because the fuel pump wouldn't be able to keep up with the extra fuel demand of .7 lambda at the same boost.

I'm very glad you decided to get into tuning your own car and have spent hundreds of hours tuning every last hp out of it on whatever fuel you are buying. My customers need piece of mind knowing if they get a bad tank of fuel, or the station owner is watering down the premium, their car won't be damaged. That's different criteria than a customer's car that wants to spend another 500 on a dyno session on a specific fuel.

I try to be helpful to this group. I spent lots of hours and $$ to bring a drop in intercooler to this market. I'm still working on more parts as well. What have you done for the community?

What you truly do not understand is that I truly do understand why you use the LSPI blending tables. I do it too. But again, that has nothing to do with the knocky nature of your tune. And I'm not here to debate your knocky ass canned tune so I don't understand why you're still persisting in trying to prove something to me or about me. I could go into lengthy detail of a few fundamental concepts that you yourself clearly just don't grasp but what's the point? Your mind's made up that you're the ecoboost god, your tune is infallible, and each & every single grievance against it is someone else's fault. Any blasphemer that speaks poorly of the GH brand need be tarred and feathered by you and/or your disciples.

Again, I've been relieved of your problems for a long time now, and I've admitted more than once that I set my bar unfairly high for canned junk. Just, for the love of God, stop trying to convince us that KR is somehow a beneficial feature of your tune. Most of us aren't that stupid.

P.S. I'm not just saying this to be a dick, but I truly don't care for any of your parts, and thanks in large part to information shared on this forum I wouldn't put them on my car even if they were given to me for free. That's even more true now that apparently any problems relating to said products would take more than 10 weeks just for diagnostic support. So for the last time, do me a favor and step down from your high pony. Value is subjective. You might not see any value in my contributions here, but I think some do. ****, I've got at least a couple hours invested into this thread alone, trying like **** to help a total stranger quickly get to the root of a problem with absolutely nothing to gain from it. And I do it despite the ********* vendor that emptied the guy's bank account ******** and moaning, mocking me, and just generally showing far more concern for trying to bash me to protect his interest than earnest in helping his own customer get back on the road.

Not trying to be a dick, it is a serious, legitimate question. There are tuners on here that do this full time and as side gigs. There are tuners that do it for a little extra money/hobby and tuners that do it for a career. Many of them are developing new products for the platform. Many of them are selling multiple revisions as new products come out and new paths are explored with this platform. In a market with limited quality parts and tuners, it seems like a great way to make some extra money, and to further the platform. I'm sure another option for a tuner, with fast turn around times, quick troubleshooting, and great power results would be widely welcomed by the community.

I'm certain that if he did, he'd quickly realize the game is different when your reputation is on the line. The first time he were to encounter an unhappy customer or a failure of his "more advanced tunes", his house of cards would crumble around him. The cracks in the armor would begin to show and how could he then claim he's the best thing since sliced bread?
