My car has interrupted the radio three time while driving lately and asked if I want to run a Vehicle Health Report. If I push OK it tries but says I don't have a phone hooked up, which is correct. What is it trying to tell me. Do I need to hook up and read the error report with a hand held scanner?

I have the automatic report generator disabled and run it manually (via Bluetooth phone) just before I take the car in for maintenance.

I hate to sound out of the loop here but I relish in not owning a cell phone or any other I-pod devices. Personally I don’t like my car talking to me as I drive down the highway at 80mph in rush hour traffic. I'm looking all around for the FREAKING OK button. When my Jag talks to me via display board, it's putting you in limp mode, that's right 20mph top speed. You had better be hitting the shoulder!!!

How do I disable this BS!

If you have nav on the dash push the phone button / settings/ advanced / vehicle health report/ turn auto reports off.

I don't have the NAV system. Does anyone know aonther way to shut it off. I try the manual buttons but couldn't get past settings "add blue tooth, phone not set, delete all items" that kind of stuff.

You can do it without nav. Push the phone button on the steering wheel. Use the arrows to scroll through the menus. Im not 100% percent sure offhand but I think you need to scroll to return then press the ok button. You will get deeper into the menus until you see vehicle health report.
Someone without nav can chime in on the exact menu route. If not check back and I will look tomorrow.

NON NAV SYNC

If your phone is paired with the system leave it turned off.

Push the phone button on the steering wheel. While it says "connecting..." hit ok on the steering wheel.

Left arrow 2X hit ok "Bluetooth Devices" Left arrow until return hit ok.

Exit phone menu will appear. Use the right arrow and scroll over until you see "Veh Health Report" the hit ok

"User Pref"hit ok

"Auto reports" hit ok

"Auto reports on" hit ok

Use arrow until "Auto reports off "then hit ok

"Set auto reports off" then hit ok

Hope this helps. I may have missed a step but it should lead you real close.
