i have a 97 with 60 k on it. looking for approx value... first paint is immaculant (ebony satin,tan) no accidents!!!not a ding or scratch anywhere. kirked at 50 k, xcal 1, sho shop intake, flowmaster delta 50,trans& coolant flushed with new brakes and all rotors and 4 new sarc struts 5 k ago. new ball joints,end links.sub frame bushings, sway bar bushings too...new bf goodrich traction ta's on factory chromies. i am **** every thing works perfecetly and there is not a spec or stain in the interior[drivers seat shows some wear]{also kirk said "i would win 1st place trophies with this thing all day long,just put new headlights in", there hazy alittle... i know kbb and all that i used to go to manhiem dealer auctions and am looking for the right buyer... throw some estimates out there so that i can see if im am realistic... thanks all!!!!!

oh boy....the moderators dont like these types of posts!!! In b 4 the delete....It's probably worth 2500-4k dollars. These cars have a bad reputation out there now with the cams and no one wants an 8, almost 9 year old Taurus....even if it does have a V8. ****, I couldn't give mine away even with new everything....then god blessed me with a hail storm and the insurance company gave me 3k for the damage. I suggest you find a hail storm! : )

It's a $4500 car, give or take up to $500 in either direction.
We had a customer trying to sell basically the exact same car as yours, except with 60K. Always garaged, never driven winters, etc. He had been asking $6000 for well over a year. Finally, he took the best offer he could get which was $4800, which in our opinion was still a bit too much to pay.
Another example is Kirk's '97, which he tried to sell in July 2004, with all his mods (including nitrous, BBB's, 24lb. injectors, P&P intake), brand new tranny, custom hood, wheels, etc. for $6500. Lots of people were interested, but nobody had the cash. So, we returned the car to stock, he traded it in for $4000, and then sold all the mods and parts for another $5000. Still didn't recoup the $40K+ he had in the car.
Bottom line is, it's a 9-year-old used Taurus to 98% of the buying public. Finding an enthusiast, who knows what the car is really worth, and who actually has the money to buy it, can be a difficult and lengthy proposition. Ultimately it's only worth as much as somebody is willing to pay for it.
As Greg mentioned, these types of posts are generally not permitted as in the past they have been used as stealth classified ads intended to circumvent the paid classified system.
